This document provides instructions for configuring the hostname, time, date, and login messages on a Cisco switch. The hostname is set to "S1" using the hostname global configuration command. The time is set to 10:10:5 AM on December 15, 2011 by using the clock set command. Login and message of the day banners are configured with custom text using the banner log, banner login, and banner motd commands.
