CONDITIONAL SENTENCE
MEANING
Conditional Sentence is a sentence that contains a
situation that is likely to happen, is unlikely to happen,
or will never happen. The conditional sentence structure
is divided into a main clause and a subordinate clause
consisting of the word "if"

Type One
● If + Subject + verb ( simple present tense ) + Subject + will/ shall + verb
(simple future tense)
● If + Subject + be + adjective + Subject + will/ shall + be + adjective.
Example :
• If I have money, I will buy house for my parents.
• If Raina study hard, she will get a for the tests.
• If I pass the exam, my father will buy me a car.
• If the driver arrive at time, she will not be late

Type Two
● If + Subject + verb (simple past tense) + Subject + would/ could/ might
+ verb (past future tense).
● If + past tense, past future

• If the admission fee were cheap, we could get inside.
• If I won the competition, Lily would be envious of me.

TYPE THREE

(past future perfect tense)
• If + past perfect, future perfect
• Future perfect + if + past tense
Example :
1) If you had eaten your dinner, you would not have
felt hungry.
2) If I had arrived earlier, I would not have gotten
scolded by teacher.
3) I would have visited you if I had finished my work
earlier.
4) I would not buy a new one if my old gadget had not
been broken.
