This document discusses the four types of conditional sentences in English. Type 0 conditional sentences use the present tense to describe general truths. Type 1 conditional sentences use the present tense and future tense to describe likely future events. Type 2 conditional sentences use the past tense and modal verbs to describe unlikely or hypothetical events. Type 3 conditional sentences use the past perfect tense to describe impossible or unlikely past events. Examples are provided for each type of conditional sentence structure.
