Mason Wills edited a picture by removing the creased sheet in the background and adding a subtle shadow behind the artist to make the white background look like a screen. He cropped the top third to remove excess brick and manually added purple and green graffiti to the brick wall using effects like multiply and bevel & emboss, feeling it fit the hip-hop magazine theme.
2. I have edited this picture by completely removing the sheet in the background as the creases was
quite clear and there was certain parts of shadow which was hard to edit out. To make the white
background look as if it was a white screen I had added a subtle shadow behind my artist by
copying and pasting the picture of him, filling it in black and lowering the opacity.
3. I have cropped the part of the top third out as I felt there would be too much brick in the
image. I also thought, due to it being a hip-hop magazine, I would add graffiti onto the
brick wall manually. For the graffiti I changed the colour to purple and green and then
added the multiply effect. After that I added a bevel & emboss.
