and every human beings posture will build up according to the nature of activity.
The purpose of the study was to analyze the postural deformities between dexterous and ambidextrous
players. The subjects were selected from the Kannur university campus, Christ College Irinjalakuda, S N
College Kannur, LNCP Trivandrum, Calicut University Center for Physical Education, ST.Thomas college Pala
and ST.Thomas college Thrissur, the investigator go and collect data from the players. The total number of
hundred (N=100) players and the fifty (n=50) from the each group. The investigator was given a small
description about the test and it’s important to the subjects. The New York posture rating scale was utilized for
the posture assessment. Depending up on the deformity, the players were ranked according to the specific norms
of the test like 5 for good posture, 3 for average, 1 for poor posture. After taking the raw scores of the students,
calculate the percentage of postural deformity by using independent‘t’ ratio.
From the finding we would make understand that the ambi- dexterous players show comparatively good
posture than the dexterous players. Posture of the cricket players was the most fatly than the other players. In
the case of the anterior postural region cricket players and the lateral postural region the volley ball players
had the poor postural level as compared to the other players. The swimmers had the good posture among the
anterior and lateral region of posture.
Objective: The Functional Movement Screening (FMS) measures the range of motion, balance, and stability in different situations. So performing exercises that increase the (FMS) scores may be helpful in reducing the number of exercise injuries. Therefore, the aim of this study was to assess does TRX training reduce injury rates in futsal athletes, as measured by the Functional Movement Screening Test?
Methods: Twenty-four futsal players (CON mean age: 22.40 ± 1.24 years and INT Mean age: 2.44 ± 21.80 years, age range: 18-28) were randomly assigned to a CON (n = 12) or an INT (n = 12) group. The intervention group carried out three times a week over six weeks during the same period, the control group continued its routine training that includes futsal specialist training and Tactical training. Both groups performed functional movement screening before and after the exercise program. Paired t test was used to analyze the data via SPSS software at the significance level of P < 0.050.

Epidemiological studies have consistently shown hamstring
strain injuries (HSIs) to have a high prevalence rate in many
sports, such as sprinting (11%; Lysholm & Wiklander, 1987),
Australian Rules Football (16–23%; Orchard, 2001; Orchard,
Marsden, Lord, & Garlick, 1997) and football (12–14%:
Ekstrand, Hagglund, & Walden, 2011; Hawkins, Hulse,
Wilkinson, Hodson, & Gibson, 2001). The epidemiology and
aetiology of HSI in football has received extensive attention in

Maximal sprinting speed of elite soccer playersFernando Farias
Current findings might help individuals involved within the physical preparation of players (e.g. technical coaches, fitness coaches, and sport science staff) when developing training programs and training sessions in line with the playing positions, and with the levels of high speed running targeted to reach during specific training drills like sided-games.
Indeed, the closer to match-play situations regarding the rules with goals, goalkeepers, the larger pitch sizes and greater number of players involved, the higher sprinting speed running players would reach during sided-games. However, coaches are advised to add specific speed drills to sided-games in order to elicit a stimulus of high-speed running high enough to prepare players for competition.
To examine the acute effects of generic (Running Drills, RD) and specific (Small-
Sided Games, SSG) Long Sprint Ability (LSA) drills on internal and external load of male
soccer-players. Methods: Fourteen academy-level soccer-players (mean±SD; age 17.6±0.61
years, height 1.81±0.63 m, body-mass 69.53±4.65 kg) performed four 30s LSA bouts for
maintenance (work:rest, 1:2) and production (1:5) with RD and SSG drills. Players’ external-
load was tracked with GPS technology (20Hz) and heart-rate (HR), blood-lactate
concentrations (BLc) and rate of perceived exertion (RPE) were used to characterize players’
internal-load. Individual peak BLc was assessed with a 30s all-out test on a non-motorized
treadmill (NMT). Results: Compared to SSGs the RDs had a greater effect on external-load
and BLc (large and small, respectively). During SSGs players covered more distance with
high-intensity decelerations (moderate-to-small). Muscular-RPE was higher (small-to-large)
in RD than in SSG. The production mode exerted a moderate effect on BLc while the
maintenance condition elicited higher cardiovascular effects (small-to-large). Conclusion:
The results of this study showed the superiority of generic over specific drills in inducing
LSA related physiological responses. In this regard production RD showed the higher post-
exercise BLc. Interestingly, individual peak blood-lactate responses were found after the
NMT 30s all-out test, suggesting this drill as a valid option to RD bouts. The practical
physiological diversity among the generic and specific LSA drills here considered, enable
fitness trainers to modulate prescription of RD and SSG drills for LSA according to training
schedule.
Comparative effect of SAQ and circuit training programme on selected physical...Sports Journal
The present study was undertaken to study the comparative effect of SAQ and circuit training program on
selected physical fitness variables of school level basketball players. Thirty (30) school level basketball
players aged between 14-17 years will randomly be selected from Simpkins School Agra U.P. The
subjects were randomly divided in three groups as group A (SAQ training group), group B (circuit
training group) and group C (control group). After the pre-test with Physical fitness test Experiment
Group-A underwent a training SAQ programme of selected exercise. Experiment Group-B received a
Circuit training program of selected exercises, whereas the Control group did not participate in any
training program. Group A has gone under SAQ training program and Group has gone under circuit
training for 60 minutes three times a week except Sunday for duration of 12 weeks. Post data was
collected after 12 weeks of experimental period. Analysis of Variance (ANOCOVA) was applied at 0.05
level of significance and Post hoc mean comparison was done by using LSD test. It may be concluded
that SAQ training program was significantly better than circuit training program for speed and agility
whereas circuit training program was better than SAQ training program for abdominal, arms & shoulder
endurance being studied by the researcher. In case of explosive strength no significant difference was
found between both the training programs
Correlation of Sergeant Jump & Squats Tests Performance of Basketballers with...Premier Publishers
This study deals with the assessment of leg strength by sergeant jump test and squats test & its correlation with leg measurements and energy intake among young girls and boys undergoing regular basketball training (age: 10-15 yrs, n=400). Players were selected from leading basketball training clubs of Nagpur city, Maharashtra. Foot width, foot length, thigh circumference, calf circumference & ankle circumference were measured using a measuring tape. Leg strength of basketballers was evaluated by means of fitness tests such as sergeant jump test and squats test. Energy intake data was collected by 24 hour’s dietary recall method for consecutive three days. For the present study, both null hypothesis (H0) & non directional alternative hypothesis (H1) were formulated. The difference was tested at both 0.01 & 0.05 levels of significance. Correlations were derived using Pearson’s product moment coefficient of correlation. Basketballers possessed significantly wider & longer feet than standards for age & gender. Effect of age on three leg circumferences (thigh, calf & ankle) was found to be strong, with older girls & boys showed significantly (p<0.01) larger mean thigh, calf & ankle circumference than younger girls & boys. Although basketballers were regular in their daily meal timings, they failed to meet the daily requirements of energy intake. Older basketballers surpassed the younger basketballers with respect to the mean vertical distance jumped. All groups of basketballers were rated excellent for their mean performance of squats test. Leg anthropometry correlated positively with vertical jump & squats test performance of basketballers. Regular basketball training at young age should be coupled with recommended intake of energy to ensure leg strength.

The effectiveness of exercise interventions to prevent sports injuriesFernando Farias
Strength training reduced sports injuries to less
than one-third. We advocate that multiple exposure interven-
tions should be constructed on the basis of well-proven single
exposures and that further research into single exposures, par-
ticularly strength training, remains crucial. Both acute and
overuse injuries could be significantly reduced, overuse injuries
by almost a half.
Differences in strength and speed demands between 4v4 and 8v8 SSGFernando Farias
Small-sided games (SSGs) have been extensively used in training
footballers worldwide and have shown very good efficacy in
improving player performance (Hill-Haas, Dawson, Impellizzeri,
& Coutts, 2011). As an example, it has been shown that the
technical performance (Owen, Wong del, McKenna, & Dellal,
2011) and physical performance (Chaouachi et al., 2014; Dellal,
Varliette, Owen, Chirico, & Pialoux, 2012) of footballers can be
enhanced using SSG-based football training programmes.
In the last two decades, extensive research has been pub-
lished on physical and physiological response during SSGs in
football (for refs, see Halouani, Chtourou, Gabbett, Chaouachi,
& Chamari, 2014). It was found that the time-motion charac-
teristics of SSGs could vary greatly depending on certain
structural (e.g., pitch size, number of players, type and number
of goals) and rule (e.g., number of ball touches) constraints.
For example, it was observed that higher maximum speeds are
reached during SSGs played on bigger pitches (Casamichana &
Castellano, 2010). Furthermore, heart rate (HR) and lactate
concentrations were shown to be sensitive to structural and
rule changes in SSGs.
Bilateral and unilateral vertical ground reaction forcesFernando Farias
The purposes of this study were to assess unilateral and bilateral vertical jump performance

Eccentric training using external loads greater than the
relative concentric training intensity is a potent stimulus for
enhancements in muscle mechanical function, and MTU
morphological and architectural adaptations. The inclusion
of eccentric loads above maximal concentric strength is
therefore an avenue to induce novel training stimuli and
effect change in key determinants, and functional metrics,
of strength, power and speed performance. Strength
improvements are largely mode-specific and arise from a
combination of neural, morphological and architectural
adaptations [8]. Increased agonist volitional drive is posited
as the primary contributing factor to the marked increases
in eccentric strength observed following training [54].
Eccentric training improves concentric muscle power and
SSC performance to a greater extent than concentric or
traditional modalities
Comparison of Selected Physical Fitness Components between Bangladeshi and In...iosrjce
The aim of this study was to compare the selected physical fitness components between Bangladeshi
and Indian girls aged 7 to 9 years old. The study was conducted on 107 Indian girls and 104 Bangladeshi girls
for the comparison of selected physical fitness variables. The selected variables for the study were upper body
strength endurance (flex arm hang), agility (4x10 m. shuttle run) and cardiovascular endurance (Reduced
cooper test). T-test was used to find out the significant difference among different disciplines. It was concluded
that there was significant difference between Indian and Bangladeshi girls in strength endurance (upper body).
But the significance differences were not found on agility and cardiovascular endurance variables. Indian girls
have better agility and cardio respiratory endurance than Bangladeshi girls but Bangladeshi girls have better
upper body strength endurance than Indian girls.
Training Load and Fatigue Marker Associations with Injury and IllnessFernando Farias
This paper provides a comprehensive review of the litera-
ture that has reported the monitoring of longitudinal
training load and fatigue and its relationship with injury
and illness. The current findings highlight disparity in the
terms used to define training load, fatigue, injury and ill-
ness, as well as a lack of investigation of fatigue and
training load interactions. Key stages of training and
competition where the athlete is at an increased risk of
injury/illness risk were identified. These included periods
of training load intensification, accumulation of training
load and acute change in load. Modifying training load
during these periods may help reduce the potential for
injury and illness.

Comparative study on the agility and flexibility ability of state and nationa...SubmissionResearchpa
Sports, the most ancient human endeavour, known through ages since the time of Hercules, relates to various form of recreational activities like hunting, shooting, sailing,, outdoor games, athletics, swimming etc .Every society tries to include certain values in younger generation through the medium of sports. Ancient society want to encourage valour, dignity and loyalty to the group. Likewise modern society emphasizes specialization, professionalization and commercialization in the realm of sports also. In the present day scenario “Sports For all” has become a popular slogan all over world. Games and sports are is the specialised field. It requires a specific, scientific, and systematic type of training to increase optimum performance of the player. Each game requires different and specific type of physical fitness, components and training method to develop that components there are five physical fitness components and inter related to each other directly and indirectly each components has its own importance in different games and sports. Volleyball and Handball required flexibility and agility which influence the performance of the player and game. That is why the purpose of the study was to compare the flexibility and agility between the state and national level players of volleyball and handball of district Poonch( jammu and Kashmir) state. To collect data for this study, total 30 (No 30) subject were selected out of which fifteen(15) from Handball and fifteen from Volleyball discipline in District Poonch of J&K State. The age of the subject were ranged from 15 to 20 years according to the school and college records. Flexibility and agility ability were selected as dependent variables for the study. Sit and reach test was used to measured flexibility and 10*4 shuttle run test was used to measured agility of the players. These tests were administered after proper ground marking, proper demonstration and proper warming up of the players. The collected data were statistically analyzed for significant difference by using independent test. The level of significance was set at 0.05. by Neeraj Sharma and Shafqit Hussain 2020. June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
