Iaetsd detection, recognition and localization of partial dischargeIaetsd Iaetsd
Partial discharge (PD) in power transformers can be detected using acoustic emission (AE) sensors. PD produces acoustic waves that can be picked up by external sensors. The document discusses using AE sensors to detect and localize PD sources to improve diagnosis of insulation issues. It describes typical AE measurement systems that use sensors, preamplifiers and software for signal processing. Broadband sensors that detect a wide range of frequencies provide better detection of different types of PD compared to narrowband sensors. Proper acoustic coupling of sensors to the transformer is important for sensitivity. AE methods allow online monitoring of transformers and localization of PD for diagnosis.

Partial discharge (PD) refers to localized electrical discharges that only partially bridge the insulation between conductors. PD measurements allow identification and monitoring of insulation defects to improve condition-based maintenance of electric machines. Nidec ASI offers PD detection instruments and sensors that digitally acquire and analyze PD pulse shapes to separate sources, identify defect types, and assess risk to inform maintenance programs. Case studies demonstrate using on-line PD monitoring to evaluate distributed micro-void defects in the insulation of a large generator.
This document outlines the sections and contents for a project report on designing a low-voltage low-dropout regulator. It includes sections for an abstract, introduction, literature survey, existing and proposed systems, advantages, requirements, diagrams, implementation, testing, conclusions, and references. Contact information and course offerings are also provided for i3e Technologies.

Power factor corrected zeta converter based improved power quality switched m...I3E Technologies
The document describes a proposed switched mode power supply (SMPS) system that uses a front-end power factor corrected Zeta converter to improve power quality. The front-end converter reduces 100-Hz ripple and improves power factor and voltage regulation. Simulation and testing of a laboratory prototype showed the proposed SMPS enhanced performance under varying input voltages and loading conditions, meeting international power quality standards.
Optimized operation of current fed dual active bridge dc dc converter for pv ...I3E Technologies
This document discusses optimized operation of a current-fed dual active bridge DC-DC converter for photovoltaic applications. It analyzes the operating principle and soft-switching conditions over a wide operating range with phase shift and duty cycle control. An optimized operating mode is proposed to achieve minimum RMS transformer current and extend the soft-switching region to reduce losses. Experimental results from a 5 kW hardware prototype verify the analysis. Contact and location information is also provided for an organization that develops IEEE software and hardware projects.

Optimizing Gradle Builds - Gradle DPE Tour Berlin 2024Sinan KOZAK
Sinan from the Delivery Hero mobile infrastructure engineering team shares a deep dive into performance acceleration with Gradle build cache optimizations. Sinan shares their journey into solving complex build-cache problems that affect Gradle builds. By understanding the challenges and solutions found in our journey, we aim to demonstrate the possibilities for faster builds. The case study reveals how overlapping outputs and cache misconfigurations led to significant increases in build times, especially as the project scaled up with numerous modules using Paparazzi tests. The journey from diagnosing to defeating cache issues offers invaluable lessons on maintaining cache integrity without sacrificing functionality.
Comparative analysis between traditional aquaponics and reconstructed aquapon...bijceesjournal
The aquaponic system of planting is a method that does not require soil usage. It is a method that only needs water, fish, lava rocks (a substitute for soil), and plants. Aquaponic systems are sustainable and environmentally friendly. Its use not only helps to plant in small spaces but also helps reduce artificial chemical use and minimizes excess water use, as aquaponics consumes 90% less water than soil-based gardening. The study applied a descriptive and experimental design to assess and compare conventional and reconstructed aquaponic methods for reproducing tomatoes. The researchers created an observation checklist to determine the significant factors of the study. The study aims to determine the significant difference between traditional aquaponics and reconstructed aquaponics systems propagating tomatoes in terms of height, weight, girth, and number of fruits. The reconstructed aquaponics system’s higher growth yield results in a much more nourished crop than the traditional aquaponics system. It is superior in its number of fruits, height, weight, and girth measurement. Moreover, the reconstructed aquaponics system is proven to eliminate all the hindrances present in the traditional aquaponics system, which are overcrowding of fish, algae growth, pest problems, contaminated water, and dead fish.
An improved modulation technique suitable for a three level flying capacitor ...IJECEIAES
This research paper introduces an innovative modulation technique for controlling a 3-level flying capacitor multilevel inverter (FCMLI), aiming to streamline the modulation process in contrast to conventional methods. The proposed
simplified modulation technique paves the way for more straightforward and
efficient control of multilevel inverters, enabling their widespread adoption and
integration into modern power electronic systems. Through the amalgamation of
sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) with a high-frequency square wave
pulse, this controlling technique attains energy equilibrium across the coupling
capacitor. The modulation scheme incorporates a simplified switching pattern
and a decreased count of voltage references, thereby simplifying the control
algorithm.
Design and optimization of ion propulsion dronebjmsejournal
Electric propulsion technology is widely used in many kinds of vehicles in recent years, and aircrafts are no exception. Technically, UAVs are electrically propelled but tend to produce a significant amount of noise and vibrations. Ion propulsion technology for drones is a potential solution to this problem. Ion propulsion technology is proven to be feasible in the earth’s atmosphere. The study presented in this article shows the design of EHD thrusters and power supply for ion propulsion drones along with performance optimization of high-voltage power supply for endurance in earth’s atmosphere.

Comparison of charge estimation methods in partial discharge cable measurements
1. COMPARISON OF CHARGE ESTIMATION METHODS IN PARTIAL DISCHARGE
CABLE MEASUREMENTS
ABSTRACT
The aim of this paper is to compare different partial discharge (PD) charge estimation
methods for PD cable measurements. The paper covers the mathematical foundation behind the
different presented methods, and explores the limits of each method regarding the associated
maximum charge estimation errors in PD cable measurements. The results are focused on long
cables where large PD pulse distortions are present and therefore, the measured pulses differ
significantly from the calibrator ones. Each proposed method is analyzed, and finally, limitations
of each method are discussed.
