Superlatives Adjectives with one syllable  add –est  great - greatest;  small - smallest Adjectives with two syllables use most: careful - most  careful; patient - most  patient. Only one syllable, ending in E. Examples: wide, fine, cute - Add-ST: widest, finest, cutest What are superlatives?
Superlatives are used to compare more than two things.  Also some superlatives like and comparatives are irregular. for example: Bad  -  worse  - worst  Far  - farther - farthest  Superlatives sentences usually use THE, because there is only one superlative. Examples: Masami is the  tallest  in the class. Yuki is  tall , and Jiro is  taller , but Masami is the  tallest .
