Comparative adjectives are used to compare two or more things. They have three main forms: adding -er, doubling the final consonant and adding -er, or using more/less. The rules for forming comparatives add -er when words end in a consonant and change the final y to i and add -er. There are some exceptions like good becomes better and bad becomes worse.
