COMMUNITY VIDEO
CRUCIAL INFORMATION
• Working Title – Rise of the Hatters
• Genre – Community based documentary – Interactive/Participatory

ISSUES
• Stockport County F.C. was financially damaged in the mid 2000’s
• Help The Hatters look after the clubs ground and players fund
• These are unpaid volunteers who do it for the love of football.
MY BRIEF
• Main idea is to make what the group do to help the football club.
Content
• Interviews with Key members of Help The Hatters at Edgeley Park
• Relevant Shots & B-Roll of them helping around the ground.
• Shots Around the ground from the outside on a Match Day
• Shots with vox pop’s with fans outside the ground.
• Use archive clips of old games

• Gender – Male
• Ages – Adults 20-35+
• Socio Economic Banding C2 and Below
• Psychographics – Aspirers, Explorers
• MAIN TARGET AUDIENCE – Football Fans, Mainly County Fans

• Interviews will be with people who are connected with the group

• Lighting – Correctly exposed lighting
• Camera Movement – Tripod Shots for Interviews, Cinematic Slow Motion shots for B-Roll
on slider
• Editing – Slow paced, to allow time for visuals and talking
• Actors – Interviewed people on the Help The Hatters group
• Setting – Edgeley Park and surrounding areas, bring that sense of community and anchor
the video
• Props – Stockport County merchandise maybe
• Costume – N/A
AUDIO ELEMENTS
• Soundtrack - A Quiet and Subtle soundtrack in the background to bind the clips together
• Effects – None, try to make this a story about the people in it.
• Diegetic – Clip on microphone, to get crisp clear audio.
RATIONALE
• I Have experience with this style of factual programming, and came raise an issue in the
community with this style, with no presenter it makes the interviewees the main body of
the program who drive the story.
• No presenter makes a more personal touch to the film by having them tell the story.
Someone with credibility as opposed to a presenter
MAIN PARTS OF THE DOCUMENTARY TO KEEP
AN EYE ON
• All shots are framed well with proper uses of visual language.
• Audio is clear and crisp, so that all talking can be heard with as little ambient sound and
background noise.
• Relevant questions to the topic of the main body of the program.
• Expand more on the person and push them in terms of questions.
• Make sure B-Roll footage is cinematic and nice looking.

RATIONALE • I Have experience with this style of factual programming, and came raise an issue in the community with this style, with no presenter it makes the interviewees the main body of the program who drive the story. • No presenter makes a more personal touch to the film by having them tell the story. Someone with credibility as opposed to a presenter

MAIN PARTS OF THE DOCUMENTARY TO KEEP AN EYE ON • All shots are framed well with proper uses of visual language. • Audio is clear and crisp, so that all talking can be heard with as little ambient sound and background noise. • Relevant questions to the topic of the main body of the program. • Expand more on the person and push them in terms of questions. • Make sure B-Roll footage is cinematic and nice looking.
