Types of leaflets based on the number of pages fotosnipe
Types of leaflets based on the number of pages:
Choosing a company leaflet should be used to be known or introduce a new product is very complex given the number of brochures that are available to business.
1) Steering or flyer. One of the most used, because it has not a single sheet that is folded and printed on one or both sides. They are usually square, on occasion, rectangles, A4, A5, A6 or 10 × 21 inch sizes. Visit a professional individual and offer yourself as a consultant.docxtienboileau
Visit a professional individual and offer yourself as a "consultant" to the person. During your meeting you will
present to them how sociology could provide insights, ideas, and relevance to their field of work.
You must receive approval from your instructor to interview the professional you choose,
before doing so
.
Possibilities include educators, business persons, clergy and religious figures, urban planners, economists, and government/political leaders. These are merely suggestions.
The point is to stress to this person how sociological knowledge can help them, and in turn, how the discipline of sociology could be enlightened by the types of work and activity he or she is involved in.
(Readings will provide examples of applying sociology in a number of fields and settings.)
Part 1: Create a 10 slide Power point presentation based on your experiences as a consultant
The rubric tells you what the instructor is looking for and how presentations will be evaluated.
Part 2
: In addition, students will
submit a typed 5-page report describing this experience
, (double-spaced, including a title page and a reference page,12-point font, with one-inch margins), and formatted in American Sociological Association (ASA) style. The report will be submitted to Turnitin.com.
Minimally, the Field Consultant Project Report should include information regarding the following:
The professional to whom you offered your consultation services (Who was it? What is their profession? What did you learn about their profession? Why did you select this person/profession?)
A description of the meeting (What
sociological
ideas did you offer the professional? How were your ideas received? What insights did the professional offer that would enlighten sociology?)
Key to this activity is recognizing the translation from the discipline of sociology to the rest of society. For example, (this is by no means a total list):
What we learn...
It's rough translation...

This assignment will ask you to provide a comprehensive overview of .docxEvonCanales257
This assignment will ask you to provide a comprehensive overview of the community that you have chosen. Only by knowing the people, their history, values, problems, and concerns will you be able to gain an understanding of the role you can play in their lives.
In preparation for the final project in this course where you will write a grant proposal with an accompanying presentation, you will need to develop a clear understanding of the community you seek to serve with your project. In this assignment, you will construct a specific service project that meets the needs of the particular community it engages. Use a variety of sources to establish a preliminary picture of the community in order to gauge the concerns of actual members within the community itself.
Do the following:
Compile research from both scholarly as well as local sources such as newspaper articles, interviews, town-meeting notes, etc., to develop a “big picture” of the community.
Conduct research, including interviews, questionnaires, and surveys, in the field to supplement this information if such information will help in further developing your understanding of the community.
Here are some topics to help guide your research:
History:
When was the community started?
Why was it started?
What has been the main economic base for the community? Has it changed since its founding? If so, how has this affected the community?
What about the history of minority groups in the area?
People:
Who are the important people (elected officials, church leaders, community leaders, etc.)?
Who works with these individuals to support their efforts (community organizations, churches, non-profit organizations, local governments, etc.)?
Groups:
What are the various groups within the community (geographic, social, racial, ethnic, etc.)?
Who represents the interests of each? Are there any particular organizations that serve particular groups?
How do these groups interact with one another? Are there groups that tend to work together or at cross-purposes? If so, identify how and why such relationships develop.
Are there any particular groups that undertake work of a similar nature as your proposed project?
Problems:
What problems do you see?
What problems do the others see?
What problems do the important people that you identified see?
What problems do government officials see?
What problems do the smaller groups within the community see?
Compile your research into a paper. Include the following details:
An introduction of your proposed action.
An assessment of the needs of the particular community you seek to serve based on the research conducted above.
An overview of the potential impact this plan might have on the community (both positive and negative).
An assessment of how your initial proposal can be modified to meet these particular concerns.
Write a 5–6-page paper in Word format. Please be sure to use reliable and valid research or report data from at least eight references (four of which must b.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
