1) Communities were traditionally tied to location but now share common experiences, thoughts, or knowledge. Older communities included religious affiliations, universities, and political parties. 2) Every community relies on information but information alone does not make a community. Knowledge is how a community interprets and lives with information. 3) Christianity uses the Bible as information but denominations form communities through their own interpretations and lived experiences, building distinct bodies of knowledge.
