Facial expressions are important!
Social Story for communication
Our faces express many emotions without having to say a
word.
These emotions let people
know how we are feeling
during a conversation.
When you are happy or excited, you can smile!
Happy Excited
When you are angry
or mad, you may
scowl.
When
you are
sad you
may
frown.
This is what someone who is
grossed out may look like.
Sometimes we may feel embarrassed.
When we first meet
someone we may feel shy.
It is also okay to feel scared.
When we think something is funny, we can laugh!
When we express how we are
feeling through facial expressions,
people have a better time
understanding us.
So remember, if you are feeling a
certain way, another way to let
people know is the expression or
look you have on your face.
