2. EMAIL
(ELECTRONIC MAIL)
• It is the sending and receiving of typewritten
messages from one screen to another.

3. WIKI
• "a collaborative Web site set up to allow user
editing and adding of content." To put it in simpler
terms, this website is like an encyclopaedias for
information on Pokémon World Online.

4. Social Bookmarking

It is tagging a website and saving it for later.
Instead of saving them to your web browser, you
are saving them to the web. And, because your
bookmarks are online, you can easily share them
with friends.

5. HTML
Hypertext Markup Language is the
programmatic language that web
pages are based on.

6. PODCASTS
• In short, podcasting lets everyday users distribute
audio files over the Internet for playback any time
on computers or digital music players. It is the
process of creating an audio show of some sort
available in MP3 format via an RSS feed that
supports enclosures. Podcasts are designed to
include talk shows, tutorials, music, or other audio
content.

7. VoIP
• Voice Over Internet Protocol, a.k.a. IP telephony
A technology that uses Internet Protocol (IP) instead of
voice recognition as the conduit for a voice
conversation by telephone. The technology transmits
ordinary telephone calls over the Internet using
packet-linked routes.

8. Online Chat
• Online chat may refer to any kind of
communication over the Internet that offers a realtime transmission of text messages from sender to
receiver. Chat messages are generally short in order
to enable other participants to respond quickly.

9. WWW
• World Wide Web
A system of Internet servers that support specially
formatted documents. The documents are formatted
in a mark-up language called HTML (Hypertext
Markup Language) that supports links to other
documents, as well as graphics, audio, and video files.

10. Streaming
• Streaming or media streaming is a technique for
transferring data so that it can be processed as a
steady and continuous stream.

11. BLOG
• A blog ('web log') is a modern online writer's
column. Amateur and professional writers publish
their blogs on most every kind of topic.

12. Social Networking
• A social networking service is a platform to build
social networks or social relations among people
who, for example, share interests, activities,
backgrounds or real-life connections.

13. URL
URL's, or 'uniform resource locators', are the web
browser addresses of internet pages and files.

14. Web Feed
• Web-based feeds readers allow users to find a web
feed on the internet and add it to their feed
reader.
