2. Origin
• Mark Zuckerburg, of HARVARD
– Along with Eduardo Saverin, Andrew
McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes
• February 4, 2004… 10 years this week
• By 2007 Facebook opened up to anyone 13 or
older with a valid email address.
3. Facebook released this week a video you can have created in memory
of it’s own 10 year birthday. The video shows your beginning with the
social network, and the most popular photos and statuses you have
posted.
4. Use
• Facebook is a social media network
• Share your views, share
pictures, videos, memories, families, relations
hips, and even what you are currently doing or
where you are for that.
• It’s a place to remain yourself…
5. Sticky Business
• For those who think that your rant is only
that, and it’s okay to talk about on Facebook:
– Defamation- Any intentional false
communication, either written or spoken, that
harms a person's reputation; decreases the
respect, regard, or confidence in which a person is
held; or induces disparaging, hostile, or
disagreeable opinions or feelings against a person.
6. That Resume joke I made before…
• According to Alison Doyle, of About.com, a
company can and will search your name on
the internet.
• Facebook- it’s one of the things they dive into
– They see what you did last night
– They see who you partied with two weeks ago
when you were “Sick”
– You should make changes to your settings during
the job searching part of your life.
