Comedo refers to dirt that clogs skin pores, occurring when excessive sebum and dead skin cells block pores. There are two types of comedones: blackheads which are open clogged pores, and whiteheads which are closed. Blackheads form when sebum, dead skin, and bacteria accumulate on the skin's surface and block the pore. Comedones can cause problems like large pores, acne, infections, rough skin, and lack of confidence. To treat comedones, one should wash their face, use products like egg whites and aloe vera, maintain a healthy lifestyle, see a dermatologist, and select beauty products suited to their skin type.
