The student teacher collaborated with Lindsay Hudson, an 8th grade social studies teacher, on a research and presentation project about post-Reconstruction America. They developed a trading card project for the students where students researched a topic and created an informational card. The student teacher helped build online resources and taught the students how to use a trading card creator tool. Some students were engaged in the project while others struggled. Overall, the project provided students exposure to historical events and people from that time period. The collaboration was a positive experience that demonstrated how teachers can work together on projects.
