Spanish is the official language and Roman Catholicism is the dominant religion. The capital and largest city is Bogotá. Colombia has a unitary republic government and the current president is Alvaro Uribe Vélez. The main industries are agriculture, mining, and manufacturing with leading exports including coffee, petroleum, flowers and fruits.
