so readers know what it is and where they can find it.
Other images-
• Other images are used for insight to what the other,
smaller articles will be about.
• They are also used to capture the readers attention
because if they don’t like the main artist they might
like one of the others making them want to buy it.

Headings-
• A heading is a larger/ bolder text telling us (the reader)
what the information below it is.
• It is also usually in a box or a different colour to the
writing below it.
• The main heading is about the main article so will be
bigger than any other text on the page.
Sub headings-
• Sub Headings are very similar to the main heading
except they are for the smaller articles and are
normally a lot smaller than the main article’s heading
but larger than the text underneath.
4. Issue number, date &website.
• The issue number allows the reader to know
what issue to buy next but it is also a way of
knowing how popular the magazine is because
if there is lots of issues then it connotes that
the magazine is more popular than magazines
with a smaller amount of issues.

scheme of the whole magazine.
• The size of the font can be larger or smaller depending
on what area it has been used in for instance the text
for the article will be smaller that the headings.
6. The title ‘Contents’ is extremely
bold and is in capitals to make it
stand out to the reader, it also
stands out by having a different
and brighter colour than the
background of the word.
Issue, date and website are
normally at the top of the page,
they stand out by using two very
opposite colours for the
background and text.
Magazine logo/name is usually
placed in the top right hand
corner of the contents page.
Features and articles.
Page numbers are
usually in a line to
make the article
neater/ more put
together.
