Editor's Notes

  • #2 A Practical Job enablement program on an Ultra Low Cost Computer Platforms ( ULCP™). A tailored instruction method to provide Disruptive learning
  • #3 One of the ailing problems of the Indian IT sector is company’s finding a tough time finding a quality Human resource. With the annual demand for IT Professionals increasing, the need of the hour is to overcome the problems faced by a student transition to an employee. Each year out of the 6 lakh Engineering Students graduating a meager 25% are job enabled which aggravates the situation. Students are desperate to be job ready in a short span after their graduation and are approaching finishing schools or Training institutes in pursuit of a job. Apart from the academics, Company’s expect a student to be competent with his aptitude, knowledge on the subject, system test, communication and logical ability. • #4 (Alternatives? Cost? & Time?) available: Computer education from: NIIT, APTECH, CMC at a cost of Rs.1,00,000+ Job Enablement: JKC, Global Arena, Purpleleap Example: CJET Job enabled training (3 months training + 9 months internship; Rs.9000/month salary = 81,000) 1,30,000 (program cost) + 10.3% tax = 1,43,390 - 81,000 (9 months, Rs.9000/month salary) = 62,390 /- is the cost in a year
  • #5 You’ve probably heard about left brainers versus right brainers before. Lefties are logical, rational, analytical, objective, looking at each different piece closely. Righties are intuitive, holistic, subjective, synthesizing, looking at the big picture. Dharmendra Modha, Manager, Cognitive Computing, Research explained that today’s computers are “left brain” machines. They’re great at quickly crunching lots of numbers and analyzing data. But they aren’t good at “right brain” tasks like pattern recognition, spatial navigation, and associative memory. The kind of computing that can predict tsunamis by tracking millions of sensors strung around the globe or interpret natural human language (or even sloppy written language). 1. Fluid intelligence is trainable. 2. The training and subsequent gains are dose-dependent—meaning, the more you train, the more you gain. 3. Anyone can increase their cognitive ability, no matter what your starting point is. 4. The effect can be gained by training on tasks that don’t resemble the test questions. Reference: http://blogs.scientificamerican.com/guest-blog/2011/03/07/you-can-increase-your-intelligence-5-ways-to-maximize-your-cognitive-potential/ Our Focused academic streams are those who require IT jobs… BE (All Streams) MCA, BSc-IT, MCM, MCS, Diploma (IT/CS/Engg)
  • #6 Anywhere, Offline/online, No installation We measure WORKING code that user PRACTICED Usual time wasters: - Software installation or configuration problems - Travel time: For an hour class: Availability of the training teacher, travel, - Money – 4999/- Reluctant to change the learning style – I try my best at training institute first and then I will take it. What subjects requires Practical learning (Typing, Music learning, IT skills)? Push learning works
  • #9 Security   Access: - Single user access (Username & Password), master host authentication and verification of user identity before access is granted. - GSM based validation (initial validation and sporadical login attempts) Data protection: Hardware AES Encryption (those users who opt for this option) and Password protection. Pragmatic can automatically remove materials (courses, exams, etc.) after they have been used offline and the results synchronized with the master system.
  • #11 Software Development Software Engineering OOPs Concept Project Definition & programming Concepts C# Programming RDBMS/ SQL-PLSQL Windows Forms HTML JavaScript XML ASP.Net Software Testing VB programming Java , J2EE Project Coding Presentation
  • #12 What if I lose my USB stick? Do I need to attend the courses again to prove my learning progress? New USB will be provided with your past synced data in a week (at half of the price). If you find your lost/stolen USB, you will not be able to use it as it gets locked if it wont sync up the data for more than 4 weeks. Inactive USBs (Not synced in last 4 weeks) will get activated once you connect with internet and login. What if I forgot my password? You can SMS from your registered phone and we will deliver the temporary password (on secret question authentication) What if I have a problem with the device? If it is a genuine hardware problem (will be decided by the manufacturer, not CoArtha) and on their acceptance we will issue a new device with your past synced data. What happens after the expiry period? Expiry is for the USB device based applications & External Learning Management access Can I format and Use the USB? After the expiry, USB embedded software can be formatted and used for personal purposes. Will I be able to use the External website after the USB expiry? Yes, your online account with pragmatic.coartha.com (Collaboration site) will be active (but not in the LMS) as long as you want at NO cost. You can interact with other students/employees on a continuous basis. Can I extend my learning period to show the progress on my dashboard to the companies? Yes, we will extend the LMS & USB expiry in 3 months equivalents at 1000/- What are the best practices? Organize your time and work with the USB Sync up your work every week or more frequently Be on course with your learning plan or we will follow up with you.

  • #16 Arthur Schopenhauer (22 February 1788 – 21 September 1860) was a German philosopher known for his pessimism and philosophical clarity. At age 25, he published his doctoral dissertation, On the Fourfold Root of the Principle of Sufficient Reason, which examined the four separate manifestations of reason in the phenomenal world. Schopenhauer's most influential work, The World as Will and Representation, claimed that the world is fundamentally what humans recognize in themselves as their will. His analysis of will led him to the conclusion that emotional, physical, and sexual desires can never be fulfilled. Consequently, he considered that a lifestyle of negating desires, similar to the ascetic teachings of Vedanta, Buddhism and the Church Fathers of early Christianity, was the only way to attain liberation.[2]
