2. WHY ARE WE HERE TODAY?
We are here today to give you more information
on Capital Media Group’s recent acquisition of
NINE Australia, plans for Te, and possible
expansion into radio and cable television in the
US and the UK.
3. COMPANY NEWS
Today, Capital Media Group has come to an
agreement with American Television to swap
sports rights. CMG has swapped the NBA to
American Television for the NHL. CMG paid
$25,000,000 to acquire the NHL announcers.
4. COMPANY NEWS
Capital Media Group would like to announce
that they are exploring the sale of their press
department. The items on the block are The One
Weekly and The National. PM us for more
details.
5. NINE AUSTRALIA
Nine is the network to watch in Australia! We
will have shows on the network such as the
award winning “Hi-5,” BBC’s Eastenders,
Creshire Alley, and more! Here are our plans for
the Nine Network
6. BIG BROTHER
The previous owners of Nine, Logo Media, had
acquired the rights to Big Brother. We plan on
keeping the hit television series on the Nine
airwaves and will be in contact with the right
holders of the show.
7. AUSSIE SPORT
CMG plans on investing quite a bit into the
Sports department at the Nine Network. We
plan on bidding for the National Rugby League
and the Australian Football League.
8. CHILDREN’S PROGRAMMING
We don’t really know much about Australian
children’s programming, but we only know of
two major shows, which will hop onto the Nine
bandwagon. The Wiggles and Hi-5. Both shows
introduce singing, dancing, and key components
to help educate a child.
9. STILL THE ONE FOR AUSTRALIA
We know that with the recent acquisition of
Nine Australia, we know that the network will
still be the one Australia turns to for news,
weather, and entertainment that you can’t get
anywhere else on Aussie TV!
10. CAPITAL RADIO
Capital Radio is planning on expanding to New
York City and Los Angeles. These two markets
will give CRG a more diverse audience. The
stations will be proposed to the admins
sometime in the next few months.
11. CAPITAL RADIO
Capital Radio UK has sold +Radio to LG Media
for an undisclosed amount. CMG’s CEO Brandon
Mangum said this. “We own Capital FM, so we
knew we needed to offload this one. We knew
LG was looking for a radio property, and so they
were the first ones that came to mind.”
12. CAPITAL MEDIA GROUP
CMG is now offering syndicated shows such as
Maury Povich, Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos, and
much, much more. If you would like to air one of
our shows on your station, please message us.
13. CAPITAL MEDIA GROUP
With the recent acquisition of three NBC
stations and a Te affiliate in Miami, CMG has
concluded to end expansion in the east coast.
Markets CMG is looking into are Seattle,
Sacramento, Phoenix, and Denver. There is a
chance that we will want an affiliate in all of the
markets
