CloudWatch allows you to send custom metrics to monitor applications and services. You can capture metrics from code using the AWS SDK and send them to CloudWatch. This provides a way to monitor application performance and usage. CloudWatch stores and displays the custom metrics which can then be used to create alarms or visualize data over time.
