This document contains two case studies analyzing the best cloud provider match for different application scenarios. Case study 1 involves an HPC application and finds Amazon Web Services to be the preferred choice as it offers the lowest cost at $3,844 per month while meeting requirements for high CPU/memory VMs, PCI/DSS compliance, and spot pricing. Case study 2 involves a new app development environment and identifies Google Compute Engine as the lowest cost choice at $820 per month.
