Helping B2B markerters to find more waldosMichael Malone
Demand Generation for B2B marketers has gotten much more complex and challenging. More than 60% of lead data is inaccurate or the lead has zero chance of closing; 50% or more of leads in nurture programs are in the wrong track and typically more than 90% of MQLs passed to sales are rejected or ignored. The root of these problems are all related to a single issue...
Building modern intranets with share point communication sites aug 2018Asish Padhy
The Modern SharePoint Communication sites provide a responsive rich experience which makes them a great candidate for SharePoint Intranets. Along with it, the modern experience enriches the way content can be structured, tagged with metadata and curated by content owners. There are obvious limitations with the modern experience and will present few approaches to overcome these limitations. In this session, we will get a quick overview of Communication sites, and various advantages and limitations of the modern experience sites. In addition, we will look at how to map the old SharePoint structures in Classic sites to New experience and options to achieve that.
WTIA Cloud Computing Series - Part II: Scaling into the Cloud with Amazon Web Services. Presented by: Adam Selipsky - Vice President, Amazon Web Services.
Web Content Management (WCMS) means many things to many people. This begs the question of how/where to maximize efforts when defining a content management strategy.
Would you like to do everything on the Web using your Web CMS as a Marketing platform?
Do you need an easier way to manage your multiple web sites?
Learn how to successfully evaluate and deploy a Web CMS platform.

When to Develop on a Platform (IndyTechFest 2008)Rob Wilson
I presented this at IndyTechFest two years ago. Found it in my archives while preparing for DevLINK 2010. I changed some of it to make it applicable to SharePoint 2010, but much of it remains as it was in 2008. It's a little corny at places, but there is useful info in it as well. Enjoy!

AppSphere 15 - The Future of Enterprise ITAppDynamics
Amazon Web Services pioneered cloud computing in 2008. Since then, we’ve learned a lot about what enterprises have done to meaningfully adopt the cloud to benefit their businesses. This session will present a pattern that has emerged, organizationally and architecturally, in enterprises who are using the cloud to meet their business objectives. With practical guidance, and insight into how AWS and our partners can help you deliver results, attendees will gain an actionable model for accelerating their organization’s success.

SharePointFest Konferenz 2016 - Alternative Approaches to Solution Developmen...Marc D Anderson
We regularly hear about the importance of building Apps or Add-Ins from the Microsoft folks. But in many cases, that approach is overkill. Even in enterprises, all solutions aren’t enterprise scale. It’s always been possible to build solid solutions or solution components using the trusty Content Editor Web Part to hold some HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, and that’s still a viable approach. With a few other more modern tricks, we can even build solutions that span many pages using a common code base.
Join Marc D Anderson as he kicks around the plusses and minuses of sanctioned development versus smaller, lighter-touch approaches.
ArcReady - Architecting Modern Distributed ApplicationsMicrosoft ArcReady
Nearly every application we build today has dependencies to other systems. How do we design them to work together to meet our goals? How do we decide what to build and what to buy? Do we host it ourselves or in the cloud? With a bewildering array of choices, the biggest challenge we face today is how to architect robust applications with the right technologies to meet our user’s needs and integrate nicely into our existing IT ecosystems.
Join our Central Region Architect Evangelists for a great discussion on architecting distributed applications using all the latest technologies and best practices.
Session 1: Blueprints for Success. In this session, we will survey the modern architecture landscape from the ground up, including infrastructure, application, and client solution choices. We’ll discuss how current industry trends are shaping our architectures and present an innovative architecture mapping technique for analyzing our customer’s needs and aligning them to today’s technologies and solution patterns.
Session 2: Making It Real. In this session, we’ll take a look at several case studies to learn how to apply the mapping technique from Session 1 to architect real world solutions that add true business value. We’ll examine applications we use every day and take a walk through a Microsoft reference architecture that explores many of the decisions we face when building modern distributed applications.

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:
Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
PHP Frameworks: I want to break free (IPC Berlin 2024)Ralf Eggert

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms.
