This document summarizes a case study of a failed collaboration between university professors and high school teachers to mentor novice teachers. There were several lessons learned from the collaboration:
1. The busy schedules of teachers, principals, and university faculty made coordinating meetings difficult.
2. Large distances between the rural university and suburban high school, as well as faculty members' homes, made regular in-person meetings infeasible.
3. Different expectations between university professors and teachers led to a lack of a shared vision for the collaboration.
The authors recommend that future collaborations carefully select partners based on alignment of needs and availability, use technology to reduce travel demands, and respect all partners' time constraints.

Fieldwork: What can we do to make it even betterKatharine Welsh
Fieldwork is an essential learning tool for subjects like geology, geography, environmental science and biological sciences. It allows students to learn practical skills, develop relationships, and make the subject material come alive. However, fieldwork provision faces pressures. While most universities report fieldwork amounts have stayed the same, some have seen decreases. Effective fieldwork relies on factors like experiential learning, student responsibility, observation skills and social interaction. To improve fieldwork, universities should consider students' feedback and reflective tools to identify best practices and areas for development.

How to Manage Reception Report in Odoo 17Celine George
A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.

6. Reflections on Teaching & Learning
by William Bingman (EDUC)
Respect all students, especially those who have little
interest in your area of expertise or those that take great
joy in causing you consternation. Personally I have
found that years may pass but then the most unlikely
student has called or written to express their gratitude for
what I did for them. It seems to me that it just takes
some students a little longer to find their niche.
University students follow a developmental pattern and
must be given guidance, structure and a set of clear
expectations. Also I contend that there must be specific,
reasonable consequences for their behavior.
7. Reflections on Teaching & Learning
by William Bingman (EDUC)
Students remember your passion for the subject you are
teaching and rarely the facts.
The vast majority of the students at Frostburg are good
individuals who appreciate the extra time you spend
tutoring and or listening to them discuss a personal
problem.
Knowing their names is important.
Serving as an advisor to a club or organization is a great
way to develop a deeper appreciation for those students
who never volunteer or answer a question in class.
8. Reflections on Teaching & Learning
by William Bingman (EDUC)
Getting to know parents of students has been very
informing. This has helped me more fully understand
many of my students.
Having a sense of humor has helped me avoid many
embarrassing situations.
Curiosity is contagious.
I am a role model.
9. Reflections on Teaching & Learning
by William Bingman (EDUC)
High Expectations are essential. Students do not mind
being cajoled, or even pushed beyond their normal
comfort zone, but not bullied or threatened.
Exemplars have been extremely valuable to me. I have
found students appreciate reading a model paper or
seeing an “A “video segment.
The clearer I can describe what I am looking for in an
assignment the better is the final product.
10. Reflections on Teaching & Learning
by William Bingman (EDUC)
I have conditioned myself to always wait before I react
to a situation-at least an hour, a day is better.
If I have a problem with a student, I always try to deal
with it privately.
I try not to take myself too seriously. It is not worth the
effort.
