2. Drake s Song Too Good
Drake s song Too Good is, in many ways an amazing work of art. Two amazing artists Drake and
Rhianna sing this song. While listening to a song there are a few criteria s that should be followed
and those are: rhythm, meaning, and voice, in which all are met in this song. First, lets discuss the
rhythm that takes place in this songin particular. According to Merriam Webster s Dictionary,
rhythm is defined as a regular, repeated pattern of sounds or movements. In this song the rhythm is
consistent and has a catchy beat. Since the songs style is labeled as contemporary hip hop the
rhythm properly corresponds with it by using many instruments, which make up the pattern of
sounds that are heard in the background of the singers. Rhythm is very important in a musicpiece
because its one of the first things that catches the audiences attention. In addition to rhythm being

According to Merriam Webster s Dictionary the definition of voice is the ability to sing. This is
probably the most important criterion because an audience doesn t want to listen to a song that
contains a horrible voice. This song is a perfect example of two amazing voices. Drake, a
famous hip hop and rap artist, and Rhianna, another famous hip hop artist, sing this song as a
duet. Their voices fit perfectly in this song because they both have a serious tone in their voice
to relate with the situation the song is addressing. For example, this song couldn t be sang by
two singers that have a high pitch happy voices because the message that is being portrayed is
more of a serious tone rather than a happy tone; therefore, these two singers voices fit the part very
well. Overall, the song Too Good by Drake and Rhianna is met extremely well with the three
criteria s of rhythm, meaning, and voice. This song portrays a great meaning, that has excellent

3. Communism And Capitalism And Communism Essay
Introduction:
Political Science has left its scholar an extremely wide ocean, filled with endless studies and
undone debates about Political Sciences theories. All through the past ages, political scientists
have rose from diverse cultures, examining their ideologies based on only their culture, and in
outmost cases their perception about other cultures. Political ideologies are the concepts that
ease the complex social world that we live in so that it can make more sense. The ideologies are
applied by means of offering what is named as an intellectual map, which helps people know their
positions in a society and help create a well organized state of a social landscape, targeting one
thing; an ideal society.
Regardless of any reviewed ideology, this paper discusses two of which have been so controversial;
Communism and Capitalism. In political and social, communism is a social, political, and economic
ideology and movement whose ultimate goal is the establishment of the communist, which is a
socioeconomic order structured upon the common ownership of the means of production and the
absence of social classes, money, and the state. However, Capitalism is defined as an economic
system based on private ownership of the means of production, and their operation for profit.
Capitalism centralized characteristics include private property, capital accumulation, wage labor,
voluntary exchange, a price system, and competitive markets.
Nevertheless, some questions remain unanswered

Two of these individuals were James Gross and Mesut GГјneЕџ. They initially produced a package
labelled NS. This was followed by NS2 then by NS3, each version an improvement on the
package before. These were virtual applications where the designers sought to model networks
in a manner that best suited available network research, and the authors collective experiences.
These packages were capable of designing a network, and some terminology and components
used are common to all discrete event simulation systems. Unfortunately, there is no
standardised set of terms and the naming can vary in literature making the packages not entirely
user friendly; ( the NS3 for example uses programing labelled C++ and the main networking
commands were known by only a few IT specialists). Packet Tracer Software and Activities The
requirement for a user friendly package was met by the Cisco Lab. The Cisco Packet Tracer is a
self paced, visual, interactive teaching and learning tool developed by Cisco Lab. The relative
ease with which this package can be used makes it ideal for students as well as for professional
use. A further benefit is that Packet Tracer provides a visual simulation of equipment and network
processes to offset the challenge of limited equipment, (often a problem in schools and universities).

5. American Born Chinese Stereotypes Analysis
American Born Chinese Stereotype Essay
The most common stereotypes today are dumb blonde, geek, nerd, smart asian, fat american,
terrorist. These insults are used everyday, as it is a way for society to label people for being
different from everyone else. Stereotypes are used in American Born Chinese to show how
stereotypes are used to negatively group people, to depict how others bully those who are different,
and are used to show how stereotypes affect those they are directed towards and those around them
in a negative way.
The first way stereotypes are used is to show negative stereotypes from the looks from other
people. One example of this happening is on page 31. [Timmy ] My momma says Chinese people

One example Yang gave was when Jin was eating his lunch and a group of boys went over to
him. They teased him about eating dogs (Yang 32 33). This only because Timmy and the teacher
assumed the worst of Jin s culture and associated him with it. These kids were bullying Jin
because he was different. This happens everywhere from the workplace to the classroom and
some people think that it is true so it is okay. In order to make them look and feel superior, the
kids bullied Jin and made him feel left out and not worth anything. This also happens today, as
people are constantly putting down others at work or in school due to their race, religion, or just by
the way they look. Another example of stereotypes being used to show superiority is when Peter
Grabinsky taking Jin s sandwich and promising to be his friend if he continued to give his lunch
to him (Peter) (Yang 34). Peter then treats Jin as if he is a dog s favorite toy that will soon be
forgotten and thrown away. This does happen, as Peter leaves to live with his father and leaves
Jin. This example shows how Peter took advantage of the other children s disliking towards Jin
due to what he looked like by taking his lunch and abusing him. Both of these show how students
of mayflower elementary treat Jin as if he is useless and bully him in order to make them feel
special. The kids saw that Jin was different and their brains seemed to associate him with eating
dogs and coming from china. To sum it up, the children making fun of Jin for supposedly eating
dogs just shows that the children are making him seem abnormal and a shame to society just
because he is from a country that does things that are frowned upon in their

Benedict Arnold was a Revolutionary Hero that had a big affect on winning the war. He had

considered a reason for the Americans winning the war because it kept them going through there
up and downs. To begin my essay, I ll start it with a brief summary on Arnold, so the reader will
understand who he really was. Benedict Arnold was born on January 14,1741 in Norwich,

Arnold was a brilliant leader in the continental army, leading to many victories for the United
States. His uncommon bravery had really showed a great impression on all the soldiers,
boosting their morals even more. Arnold dedicated himself to the Revolutionary cause,
sacrificing family life, health, and financial well being for a conflict that left him physically
crippled, sullied by false accusations, and profoundly alienated from the American cause of
liberty. Arnold can be considered one of the best American Generals during the fight for
independence. He was very well known for that and respected. Though congress would never
give him his deserved promotions. Now as we learn about Arnold, we are never taught of what he
did but instead of his treasury. Arnold really didn t turn on his country but the country had turned
on him for not noticing his great achievements for the fight for independence. The only honor that
was rewarded to Arnold was the Boot monument where he had fought the Battle of Saratoga. He
wasn t rewarded for his great accomplishment but just rewarded for a wounded leg. Congress
though had never motivated Arnold and always picked on him. Arnold was simple; he was a man

7. The African Freedom Movement
Caleb Renfroe
History of Civilization II
Ch.22 Question
Freedom is defined as the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance
or restraint, and this idea of freedom is arguably one of the most sought after privileges
throughout the history of human existence. Wars have been fought over it, lives have been lost,
song and poems and works of literature have been written about it. Freedom is what defines our
country here in America today and it is the desire of the entirety of the human race. Although we
may desire freedom and we may take it for granted in today s society, it hasn t always been so
easy to come by. The Indian freedom movement and the African freedom movement both had their
fair share of struggles before achieving their desired state of freedom. Some of these struggles were
common to both countries but each also experienced difficulties unique to their own country as well.
One common thing between both India and Africa s freedom movements is their success in
becoming free nations under the rule of their own government rather than by a foreign countries. In
India, the movement began its success in 1885 with the establishment of the Indian National
Congress (INC) gained further traction under the leadership of Mohandas Gandhi and by 1947
colonial India became independent. In Africa, the struggle against apartheid was one of success as
well. The African freedom movement gained began in 1912 with the African National Congress

12. President Woodrow Wilson Needed to Make the World Safe for...
No man can sit down and withhold his hands from the warfare against wrong and get peace from
his acquiescence . President Woodrow Wilson could not maintain neutrality after a series of
events that threatened the interests of the US. Wilson knew that he would not have the support
of a diverse American public upon entering the war, so he came up with a plan. He designed the
Committee on Public Information to advertise pro war propaganda. He needed to convince the
people that an involvement in the war was needed to make the world safe for democracy .
Propaganda was heavily used to mobilize the public opinion of a united war effort, and it was
also an attempt on homogenizing a pluralistic nation. The positive effects of this use were it
unified a heterogeneous society, and it was able to get the Americans to invest their time and
effort on the war. The negative effects of this were it caused hatred to those who were of the
enemies ancestry, and false advertising lead to a loss of many innocent lives. When war erupted
in Europe in 1914, the US adopted a policy of neutrality and seclusion. This policy was favored by
a vast majority of Americans, especially those of German and Irish descent. The people of the
United States were drawn from many nations, primarily from the nations at war. The deficiency of
public unity was the primary concern when America entered the war on April 6, 1917. The Wilson
Administration felt they needed to sway public opinion, because American

13. A Brief Look At The Historical View Of Conditional Election
A brief look at the historical view of conditional election that is briefly stated with Scriptures that is
used today. Giving evidence, that conditional is better than unconditional as in the Five Points of
Calvinism. Though the Bible obviously demonstrates that God selects individuals to redemption,
there are two differences as to the foundation of election. Conditional election is the idea that God
choose individuals for redemption centered on His omniscience of who want to place their belief
in Jesus. The free willof man plays into the scope of eternity. Historical View
Origen was one of the original to believe that predestination and will of man plays an important
role in the doctrine of election. The Scripture he uses is 2 Timothy 2:20 21 to where men can be
saved. John Chrysostom endorsed the thought on how salvation is performed. Semi Pelagians
also opposed unconditional because of human freedom and preaching would be pointless. The
Catholics believe the part of free choice and being in the grace of God. James Arminius disagreed
with Calvinist on a few issues like atonement and will of man. He formulated major proclamations
of the process of salvation. James articles were dismissed at Synod of Dort for being against the
Scriptures and where the articles from Calvin were accepted for the churches to teach. John Wesley
was strongly against unconditional and Calvinism that he gave reasons why the theory

Electricity has been here since the early 1900 s. When it started, there wasn t much demand for it
due to the fact that most people didn t have it in their houses, and that the only use for it was for
light bulbs. Then came heaters, stoves, followed by electric appliances and everything else that is
powered by electricity. Today the demand is so strong for electricity that have to find other ways
how to produce it. Currently Canada is the number one producer of electricity in the world. The
United States have to buy energy from Canada, because the demand is too strong. Our use of
electricity is causing problems to our planet so now is the perfect time to produce more solar panels.
Solar energy begins with the sun. Solar panels, also known as photovoltaics, are used to convert

Furthermore, the solution put forth would simply not be feasible in my current instructional
environment, as I have highly heterogeneous classes with students in different science courses and
even different quarters of the courses. In addition to my being able to implement the district s

Manson was referred to both as God and Satan by his followers. As the family s guru, he claimed
to be a reincarnation of Jesus Christ. The police and DA argue that Manson found sections within
the Beatles song Helter Skelter and within the last book in the Christian Bible, Revelation which he
felt referred to a devastating future race war between blacks and whites. Although Manson is not
believed to have killed anyone directly, he ordered his followers to commit the famous Tate,

Because cultic behavior underlies more than extremist religious sects, many psychologists refer to
these groups as charismatic groups. A charismatic group consists of a dozen or more members,
even hundreds or thousands. It is characterized by the following psychological elements: members
(1) have a shared belief system, (2) sustain a high level of social cohesiveness, (3) are strongly
influenced by the group s behavioral norms, and (4) impute charismatic
(or sometimes divine) power to the group or its leadership (Galanter, 1989, p. 5). Most
psychologists would probably acknowledge that there exists a deep human need to belong to a
group. Often, this need leads people to form what might be viewed as unhealthy allegiances to a
person or group who, ultimately, does not truly have the person s interest at heart. Sigmund Freud

24. The First Great Awakening By George Whitefield
The First Great Awakening
As stated by one of the fathers of the First Great Awakening, George Whitefield True conversion
means turning not only from sin but also from depending on self made righteousness. Those who
trust in their own righteousness for conversion hide behind their own good works. This is the
reason that self righteous people are so angry with gospel preachers, because the gospel does not
spare those who will not submit to the righteousness of Jesus Christ! (AZQuotes.com). The First
Great Awakening was a movement away from the Roman Catholic Churchwhich is part of the
reformation. It was initially led by George Whitefield, Johnathan Edwards, and Martin Luther who
started churches as early as the 1300s. The First Great ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His thoughts were that the Bible should be the only rule of faith because money and political
power were destroying the church. One great act Wycliffe did for the Christians in England was
to translate the Latin Bible into English. This act enabled the Christians to then be able to read
the Bible. The continuation of Wycliffe s beliefs was upheld by John Huss, who was trained in
the priesthood. Huss became the dean and eventually the institution head of the University of
Prague, in the capital of Bohemia. The people of Bohemia did not agree with the Roman church;
therefore, when Huss preached most of the Bohemians agreed with his views. Due to pressure
from the king of Naples and Huss s discontinued belief in indulgences, Huss was excommunicated,
jailed, and eventually burned at the stake. After the loss of Huss, the next major change in the
timeline was the Renaissance. The Renaissance, which is the revival of learning, was during the
1300s. The Renaissance s move to Europe is when the learning became more about the
characteristics of religion. The focus on learning helped leaders to look at the background of the
church. The leaders learned that the simplicity of faith in the past had been riddled with traditions

25. Dont Judge a Book by the Cover Essay
You Can t Tell
Many people feel that you can tell a lot about a person by observing what they wear and what
they eat. This is not the case. Choice of clothing and eating habits, in no way, allow you to pass
judgment on a person. Judging people based on these factors is extremely shallow. What one wears
and eats in no way depicts character, behavior, or even intelligence. One simply cannot know a
person by looking at them and observing what they eat. Such a thought is ridiculous.
Instead of looking at clothing and what one is eating, character should be the basis for opinion.

Wearing nice clothesand eating fancy food means nothing if the person behaves like a child. A
person wearing dirty clothes and eating out of the garbage may behave better. This is why
prejudging people can often wrong. A bum with good mannersand behavior would be more
pleasant to be around than a rich, snob with no manners and horrible behavior. One cannot have a
full outlook on an individual by just viewing their dress and eating habits. Looking at someone s
clothing or what is in their refrigerator does not depict behavior.
By seeing what one wears and eats in no way allows you to know if the person is intelligent.
Crazy as it sounds, some bums are educated, smart people. These bums eating from garbage s
may even carry a conversation better than someone wearing a business suit and eating Red
Lobster every night. An intelligent person could simply choose not to care about dress. Not all
smart people conform to what society feels is appropriate. Some may choose to dress like bums
simply because they don t care. It doesn t mean they re any less smart or have less money. It could
mean that such petty things do not get to this person. To me this shows tremendous strength.

author, emphasizes on the fact that lying can help to improve ourselves. Finally, he concludes that

Before my husband s proposal, I told her to help me informing my family about it; however, she
ended up telling my own life to every one of her friend. Boser was right about how much a small
lie can hurt us inspire of the several advantages of a small lie. From my experience, I agree that not
telling the truth is hurting too much. Although lying can help to progress and ameliorate ourselves,
parents must teach their kids to tell the truth in order to stay together forever. I agree with the
author that sometimes lying can help people to move forward because wishing the fake situation to
become real, boost us to work harder. As the author claims, small embellishments can have positive
psychological effects. Even though lying is usually unacceptable, in some situation we find

enzymes in the actual seed but can also inhibit your own enzymes once ingested. Hemp seeds in
this powder are not sprouted as they do not contain any harmful phytic acid and are easily
digestible. Next on the list are the Superfoods Blend w/ fiber and the Vegan Multi Vitamin

33. Olympic Games And The Olympics
When it comes to the Olympic Games, there is a lot of history behind it. The first Olympics
were held in Olympia, Greece, and the games were played by elite athletes. The games went
from 776 BC to 393 AD and stopped up until 1896 AD, when the games were held in Athens,
Greece. The Olympics have become a great way for countries to show off some of the interesting
aspects of their country. For a country to host the Olympics, they must go through a process. First,
you must submit a bid to the IOC (International Olympic Committee) stating why the Olympics
should be hosted in your country, whether it be economic, social, and or environmental reasons. If
the IOC chooses a country to host the Olympics of a certain year, they will let them know that the
bid was accepted. Next, the process of building the stadiums and the houses for the Olympics
begins. This is the most costly part of the entire process. The construction takes many years to
complete, and once the construction is finished, the rest is the setup to prepare for what is to come.
After the Olympic Gamestake place, the goal for the host country is to leave a legacy. A legacy is
defined as the cause effect relationship with the event and its immediate impacts and ends with
clearly identified outcomes (Hiller, 2014, 47). When analyzing a certain Olympic event, it is
imperative to assess all three phases of the games and all of the aspects possible to determine
whether it leaves a positive or negative legacy. When

36. Financial Ratios Analysis Of Microsoft Corporation
Over the years, Microsoft Corporation has been developing and supporting numerous software
products for various computing devices worldwide. As stated by Liquori (2011), [This] enables
business innovation and helps builds the company s competitive advantage (n.d). Microsoft s
technical innovations and leadership in consumer and corporate markets has made it a formidable
competitor in this information age (liquor, 2011). Throughout this paper, I will provide financial
ratiosanalysis of Microsoft Corporation based on the available financial data for the last five years.
According to Brigham and Houston (2004) the liquidity ratio shows how a firm meet its short term
obligations using assets that could be converted into cash in a short period of time. These liquid
assets are listed in the balance sheet as current assets. They are used to meet current liabilities.
Now, the question is how much liquidity a firm must have? Well, this all depends on the role of
the operating cycle. This is the time it takes to invest in firm s products and services to the time
when investment generates cash. The net operating cycle is the duration of time it takes to convert
an investment of cash in inventory and back into cash. So, the number of days a firm holds its
fund in inventory is calculated by the following formula: The inventory turnover ratio of the
Microsoft Corporation for the last five years is shown in the table below.

Nathaniel Hawthorne was born into a family that possessed prominent Puritan ancestors, and the

significant impact on his life and his writings. Though it would be an overstatement to say that
Hawthorne s knowledge of the Puritanway of life was his only source of inspiration, this
knowledge was certainly influential as it is often reflected in the majority of his work. Born in
Salem, Massachusetts in 1804, Hawthorne was born in a town whose Puritan past is well known
as a result of the infamous Salem witch trials. Though he was born well after the time of the
Puritans, growing up in a town so steeped in Puritan history is likely why... Show more content on

One important, though briefly mentioned, symbol of Hester and Dimmesdale s growth occurs
when Pearl receives a golden chain from a shipmaster. This chain is described as becoming a part
of her. The chain itself can be seen as a symbol of the golden link between heaven and Earth.
When Pearl takes and wears the golden chain, it is shown that she, and her parents, have been
redeemed because they have learned so much as a result of their sin (Manheim 3). The Scarlet Letter
was surely inspired in part by Hawthorne s Puritan ancestors as he was criticizing their cruelty
by displaying Hester and Dimmesdale as kind people who made a mistake and became better
people as a result. The novel also has a more modern lesson because being overly critical of
others is a problem that has always plagued humanity. This is part of the reason why The Scarlet
Letter is such an important work of American literature as its comments on a harsh society are
still fairly relevant. In addition to his many novels, Hawthorne wrote many short stories like The
Minister s Black Veil. Published in 1836, The Minister s Black Veil is about a minister named
Reverend Hooper who begins to wear a black veil over his face. Throughout the story the
townspeople are frightened by his actions and the reason why he is wearing the black

Information communication technology (ICT) helps to learn theoretic development discoveries,

anytime and day. While using ICT, children learn concepts, history, ideas, theories and practices

to Andrews et al. (2006, p.5) ICT has been defined as including stand alone computers, networked

44. Slavery And Colonial Rule During Colonialism
Slavery and Colonial Rule
During the years of European colonialism in Africa, slavery was used as the main source of
labor for various colonial projects. Slaves worked on various levels of service to the colonial
powers, especially the French. These include working on plantations and military service. Even
though the French and the British were profiting from the labor and oppression of Africans, they
soon faced opposition for their use of slavery as a tool for economic gain. In this essay, I will
explain these elements of slavery in colonial rule, by detailing information from Martin Klein s
Slavery and Colonial Rule in French West Africa, and Trevor Getz s Slavery and Reform in West
Africa. Klein discusses the status of the slave and the history of mistreatment by Europeans. He
focuses on the time when the Portuguese came to Senegambia during the 1600s. It was during this
time that slave labor was being used to feed the courts of coastal kings as it was used in the
medieval empires of the interior. These slaves were enemy combatants, who were captured and
sentenced to work as punishment. The author mentioned that slaves during this period did not have
rights or an official identity. Many of them faced many forms of persecution and mistreatment. By
the time the French had take over, slaves were to be punished by having the master make them
sleep in irons, but if they accepted their status, their condition was ameliorated. As time passed, and
as other markets became

45. The Multics Operating System Project Undertaken At The...
The Multics operating system project undertaken at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
(MIT) in the 1960s was a novel and powerful approach that helped shape the subsequent course of
computing technology. In particular, Multics served as the model for utility computing and the
various kinds of on demand software, platforms, and infrastructure services that exist today. Multics
was the first instance of the cloud. Leaving networked computers inside, Multics also offered a
novel approach to hierarchical file structures that served as a model for future security approaches.
Description of Multics: From Inception to Last Instance Multics is the shortened name of the
Multiplexed Information and Computing Service. Multics grew out of the idea, proposed by MIT s
John McCarthy and some other computer scientists in the 1950s, that computers ought to have time
sharing capabilities (Garfinkel, 1999). At the time, computers were used by one person at a time,
which was economically and scientifically inefficient (Bourne, 1978). There were various
demonstrations of effective time sharing on computers before the debut of Multics (Creasy, 1981).
The true novelty of Multics lay in McCarthy s vision, promoted in a 1961 lecture, for computing as
a utility (Steele Jr, 1975). McCarthy suggested that, in the future, computing power could be
allocated among geographically dispersed users, much in the manner that an electrical utility
disperses electricity to a large and geographically

47. Alfred Adler s Influence On Personality
Introduction
Alfred Adler, the founding father of Individual Psychology was one of the first theorists to suggest
that birth order influences personality ( Gustafson, 2010). As what is expected of the oldest is
different than the middle or youngest child. Adler started with this idea on birth order and others
have continued down this path of research. Having lived through WWI, Serving as a physician,
with the Austrian Army at the Russian front, and then in a children s hospital (Adler, 2014). He
was in a unique position to study people specifically children in the aftermath of war.
Biography portion
Alfred Adler (1870 1937) was born in Penzing, Austria, the 2nd son of a Jewish grain merchant.
In poor health as a child, he did not walk until age four because of rickets; at age five Adler
developed pneumonia and was a close call for him, (Adler.2014). This was only a few of his
childhood struggles. In 1895 he received his medical degree from the University of Vienna
(Schultz, 2011, p330). He specialized in ophthalmology and practiced general medicine. When he
became interested in psychiatry in 1902, he joined Sigmund Freud s weekly discussion group on
psychoanalysis, one of four charter members (Schultz, 2011, p330). He was the first president of
Freud s Vienna Psychoanalytic Society, but was later voted out over disagreements with Freud
single minded focus on the male sex organ or the lack one depending on client s gender. In 1911,
Adler split with Freud

48. Atherosclerosis Formation
Atherosclerosis can be associate with atheromata formation, which are raised, fibroadipose plaques
that develop within the intimal layer of the artery or within the innermost layers of the tunica
media. Some atheromata undergo calcification or ulceration, and mural thrombi can form over
complicated and uncomplicated atheromata. As a result, can block or diminished the bloodflow in
the artery, turning tissue and organs oxygen deprived.
Lesions on the arterial wall can cause them to become weak and get into the high risk area of
dilatation and rupture. Atherosclerotic aneurysm is a disease of elderly persons, rare before age
50. Its frequency peak is around age of 70 years. It can be seen in different shapes, fusiform,
saccular and cylindrical. The cause is usually atheroma expansion in the ... Show more content on

The arterial stenosis is frequently mistakenly identified. Acute ischemia can also be caused by the
simultaneous development of portal hypertension or thrombosis of the Superior mesenteric vein.
Identify this disease in the beginning is difficult that s why imaging studies are very important in
these cases. As time passes it was noticed that the aorta has becoming more tortuous, especially in
women and those who are committed with hypertension. Thus, sometimes aorta can be seen
compressing the inferior vena cava. Aorta can suffer alteration in its size, commonly aortic
dilatation. Sometimes involves the full length of the vessel, including the thoracic segment, and is
associated with marked lengthening of the artery, a situation defined as dolichoectasia of the aorta.
The majority of aneurysms are infrarenal. Aneurysms involving both the supra and infrarenal
segments of the aorta have an hourglass appearance due to the local expansion opposing effects of
the left renal vein. The aneurysm sac is composed of thrombotic formations and atheromata
(abnormal mass of lipids), which reduce the patency of the

49. Evolving Science Thomas Kuhn Analysis
Evolving Science In the fast past world we live in it is evident that technology is ever changing
and ever growing. The same can be said in regard to developments in science. Intelligent Design is
defined by Funk Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, as the idea that, because of the complexity of
certain features of nature, an intelligent designer must have played a role in the development of life.
Evolutionon the other hand, proposes that living things evolved over time. Edward O. Wilson
(2012) states, Many who accept the fact of evolution cannot, however, on religious grounds, accept
the operation of blind chance and the absence of divine purpose implicit in natural selection. They
support the alternative explanation of intelligent... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kuhn defines normal science as research firmly based upon one or more past scientific
achievements achieves that some particular scientific community acknowledges for a time as
supplying the foundation for its further practice. He later referred to achievements sharing
these two characteristics as paradigms . Bawazer s discussion very well could be the dawning of
a new scientific paradigm as discussed by Kuhn is his essay. Kuhn goes on to state, Men whose
research is based on shared paradigms are committed to the same rules and standards for
scientific practice. That commitment and the apparent consensus it produces are prerequisites for
normal science, i.e., for the genesis and continuation of a particular research tradition (900).
Clearly, the research studies Luke Bawazer s has conducted could definitely qualify as a new
scientific paradigm discussed by Kuhn. Other examples that may qualify as new scientific
paradigm are highlighted in Bawazer s Tedtalk video such as the work of Joe Davis and
colleagues, who inserted the gene into bacteria to produce a functioning bacteria radio. Another
example of this type of technology highlighted in the video by Angela Belcher, shows that viruses
can be used to build batteries and solar cells. No doubt, this definitely the dawning of a new
scientific

However, analysts expect growing consumer incomes, the late 2012 release of the Wii U and the
2013 release of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 to lead to a 4.3% revenue growth in 2014.
Consumers spent $1.1 billion on new physical games and consoles at U.S. retailers during the
five week period from Aug. 31 to Oct. 4, 2014, according to industry tracking firm The NPD
Group. That is up 2 percent from $1.08 billion over a similar period in 2013. The year long
growth of new console sales is making up for lackluster video game sales. Future growth
expectations for the Video Games industry have been significantly moderated, as the picture of
the market for gaming on mobile platforms becomes clearer. Since mobile games are sold at
much lower prices compared to traditional console and PC games, their rise may foretell a
51. slowdown of the video game market in the United States. While the recent launch of the next
generation video game consoles is expected to rekindle interest in the more expensive console
gaming market, the rise of low cost, low margin mobile gaming market may weigh on the overall
gaming market. Consequently, this is expected to pull revenue downward as consumers pay less
per hour for gaming entertainment. Revenue is expected to reach $47.4 billion in 2019 as a result
of the expanding population and an increased percentage of Americans
