Puppy mills are large commercial dog breeding operations that keep dogs in unsanitary and overcrowded conditions. Animal hoarding involves taking in more pets than one can properly care for, leaving the animals sick and malnourished. Poaching endangers species by illegally hunting animals for fur or other valuables. If trends continue, white rhinos will be extinct within six years.
