The document outlines the traditions and rituals of a Passover Seder meal. It includes blessings over wine, questions about why certain traditions are followed, retelling the story of Exodus from Egypt, finding and eating the Afikomen piece of matzah, and concluding with blessings and hopes to celebrate next year's Passover in Jerusalem. The Seder uses symbolic foods, rituals, blessings and storytelling to remember and celebrate God's deliverance of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt as described in the Old Testament book of Exodus.

Ephesians 1:3 says "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places..." But, what are these blessings and what does it mean?
Dear brothers and sisters,
We are just stewards. We are not supposed to be plunderers. Resign if you cannot be a good and honest steward, before they kick you out.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

Blessed are you, O Lord our
God, King of the universe,
who sanctifies us by Your
commandments and has
ordained that we kindle
the festival lights.
4. The Four Cups of Wine
In Exodus 6:7, God promised Israel:
1. I will bring you out from
bondage…
2. I will deliver you…
3. I will redeem you…
4. Then I will take you for
My people.
5. The First Cup: the Cup of
Sanctification
Blessed be the Lord our God, King of
the Universe, Who has given us
the Passover feast to remind us
that He loves us and has called
us to be His own special people; a
people freed from the slavery of
sin through the Messiah, Jesus Christ.
6. Washing of the Hands
The Urchatz
This is the washing
of the hands, which
is done by the leader
of the Seder.
7. Dipping of the Parsley
Everyone dips the parsley
in salt water, recalling
the salt in the tears of
slavery and the bitter-
ness of bondage as
we eat.
10. Why is this night different from
all other nights?
Answer:
Once we were slaves of Pharaoh in
Egypt but now we are free and we set
aside this night each year to remember
the great things God did for us.
Jesus said in John 8:32: "Then you will
know the truth, and the truth shall set
you free." We were set free when we
came into a personal relationship with
Jesus the Messiah.
11. Question 1: On all other nights
we eat either bread or
matzah, but why, on this
night, do we eat only matzah?
Answer: Matzah reminds us of
two things -- we were delivered
from slavery in Egypt
and we have a new life.
Jesus brought new life to us.
12. Question 2: On all other nights we
eat whatever kind of vegetables
we want, but why, on this
night, do we eat only a
bitter one?
Answer :
We remember how bitter our ancestors'
slavery was while they lived in Egypt.
Jesus suffered bitterly on our behalf.
13. Question 3: On all other nights
we do not dip our vegetables
even once, but why, on this
night, do we dip twice?
Answer:
We are reminded of tears and of a
miraculous deliverance, as we just
saw portrayed with the parsley.
The tears of Jesus and miraculous
deliverance from the dead.
14. Question 4: On all other nights we
eat either sitting up straight or
reclining, but why, on this night, do
we all recline?
Answer:
Before we were slaves, but now we are able
to recline to express the rest we enjoy as free
people. This pillow represents our freedom.
God, through Jesus, completed the work of
redemption in our lives by offering Him as our
Sacrifice Lamb. He set us free from sin (often
pictured in Scripture as the land of Egypt.)
21. The Second Cup: the
Cup of Plagues
BLOOD; FROGS; LICE; FLIES; CATTLE DISEASE;
• BOILS; HAIL; LOCUSTS; DARKNESS;
• SLAYING OF THE FIRST-BORN
We thank You, Father, for Your
mighty deliverance of Israel from
Egypt. We also are grateful for our
deliverance through Jesus from the
plague of sin. For we know that "…
the wages of sin is death, but the
gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
25. THE THIRD CUP: The Cup of
Redemption
Blessed are You, O Lord our
God, King of the Universe, who
has made fruit from the vine.
Thank You, Jesus, for paying
the price for our sins; You did
for us what we could not do for
ourselves.
28. THE FOURTH CUP: The Cup
of Praise
Psalm 118:1 -- Oh, give thanks to the
LORD, for He is good! For His
mercy endures forever.
Psalm 117 -- Praise the LORD,
all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you
peoples! For His merciful kindness is
great toward us, and the truth of
the LORD endures forever.
Praise the LORD!
29. THE FOURTH CUP: The Cup
of Praise
Psalm 115:12-15 -- The LORD has been
mindful of us; he will bless us; he will bless
the house of Israel; he will bless the
house of Aaron. He will bless those
who fear the LORD, both small and
great. May the LORD give you increase
more and more, you and your children.
May you be blessed by the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.
