This document appears to be the order of service for a church gathering on Sunday, October 13, 2013. It includes songs of praise, scripture readings, prayers, and a sermon. The gathering involved communion and included the songs "10,000 Reasons" by Matt Redman, "Famous One" by Chris Tomlin, and "Supernatural" towards the end. It focused on blessing God with song, confessing gifts, receiving communion, and being nourished by God's word.

The Signs of Easter - May 26, 2019 The 6th Sunday of EasterRedeemerWV
Signs. Signs. Everywhere are signs...
But are there really? Sunday we'll be hearing again the story of the conversion of Lydia told in Acts 16. We see a heart opened by God that hears the Word and receives the gifts from Word and Baptism to create faith. Then we see evidence of that faith in good works.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

2. 10,000 Reasons / Bless the Lord
By Matt Redman
(Chorus)
Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name
3. (Verse 1)
The sun comes up
it's a new day dawning
It's time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass and
whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the
evening comes
4. (Chorus)
Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name
5. (Verse 2)
You're rich in love and
You're slow to anger
Your name is great and
Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness
I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for
my heart to find
6. (Chorus)
Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name
7. (Verse 3)
And on that day when
my strength is failing
The end draws near and
my time has come
Still my soul will sing
Your praise unending
Ten thousand years
and then forevermore
8. (Chorus)
Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name
9. (ENDING)
Worship Your holy name
Lord I'll worship Your holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

17. CONFESSION OF GIFTS
P: Today we are united by the Living God
who creates us, redeems us and enlivens
us.
All: Amen
P: “There is one body and one Spirit, just
as you were called in one hope of your
calling; …
18. P: … one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
one God and father of all, and in you all.
But to each one of us grace was given
according to the measure of Christ’s gift.”
(Ephesians 4) Let us bear witness to
these words by confessing to God and
one another our giftedness.
CONFESSION OF GIFTS
19. All: We confess that we were made in
the image and likeness of God. Each of
us has been endowed with many unique
gifts. These gifts are ours to be used for
the benefit of the kingdom of God and
to God’s glory. We are, each of
us, amazing. We are masterpieces of
God, beautiful and of great worth…
CONFESSION OF GIFTS
20. All: …We are of such worth that the God
of the universe became one of us in
order to save all of us. We are salt and
light for the world. We are God’s
partners for creating a just and peaceful
world.
CONFESSION OF GIFTS
21. P: We live in a world full of enmity and
strife. We live in a world with rich and
poor; hungry and overfed, included and
excluded. What shall we do with our
gifts?
CONFESSION OF GIFTS
22. All: …We will see all people as gifted.
We choose to look for the inherent
worth of every human being. We desire
to join with people of all
races, classes, and religions to employ
our gifts for the creation of a just planet.
Our vision is nothing less than the
promised shalom of God.
CONFESSION OF GIFTS
23. P: May God, who has given us the will to
do such things, and our wonderfully
diverse gifts, also grant us the diligence
and courage to accomplish them. May
God lead us by the power of the Holy
Spirit. May God’s love be as real to us as
our own heartbeats.
All: Amen! Let it be so! Amen!
CONFESSION OF GIFTS

us, that, whole and well in body and
spirit, we may with grateful hearts

Lord. Amen.
PRAYER OF THE DAY
31. The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive
those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
forever and forever. Amen.
36. Bread of life from heaven,
your blood and body given,
we eat this bread and drink this cup
until you come again.
37. Break now the bread
of Christ's sacrifice;
giving thanks, hungry ones gather round.
Eat, all of you, and be satisfied;
in Christ's presence the loaves will abound.
38. Bread of life from heaven,
your blood and body given,
we eat this bread and drink this cup
until you come again.
39. Seek not the food that will pass away;
set your hearts on the food that endures.
Come, learn the true and the living way,
that the fullness of life may be yours.
40. Bread of life from heaven,
your blood and body given,
we eat this bread and drink this cup
until you come again.
41. Love as the one who, in love for you,
gave himself for the life of the world.
Come to the one who is food for you,
that your hunger and thirst be no more.
42. Bread of life from heaven,
your blood and body given,
we eat this bread and drink this cup
until you come again.
43. Dwell in the one who dwells in you;
make your home in the life-giving Word.
Know only Christ, Holy One of God,
and believe in the truth you have heard.
44. Bread of life from heaven,
your blood and body given,
we eat this bread and drink this cup
until you come again.
45. Drink of this cup and declare his death;
eat this bread and believe Easter morn;
trust his return and, with ev'ry
breath, praise the one in whom you are
reborn.
46. Bread of life from heaven,
your blood and body given,
we eat this bread and drink this cup
until you come again.
50. Give thanks with a grateful heart,
Give thanks to the Holy One;
Give thanks because He’s given
Jesus Christ, His Son.
Give thanks with a grateful heart,
51. Give thanks to the Holy One;
Give thanks because He’s given
Jesus Christ, His Son.
And now let the weak say,
“I am strong,”
52. Let the poor say, “I am rich because
of what the Lord has done for us.”
And now let the weak say,
“I am strong,”
53. Let the poor say, “I am rich because
of what the Lord has done for us.”
Give thanks with a grateful heart,
Give thanks to the Holy One;
61. You are my healer
And my salvation,
thank you for your grace
Your name is higher
Than any other,
greatly to be praised.
62. You made me,
You saved me Lord
You called me,
and gave me Jesus.
63. We can see miracles. We can see miracles
Supernatural, supernatural God
All things are possible
Supernatural, supernatural God
I’m gonna praise You.

the Father almighty,
creator of heaven
and earth.

66. On the third day
he rose again;
he ascended
into heaven,
he is seated
at the right hand
of the Father,
and he will come
to judge the living
and the dead.
67. I believe in
the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,

He is glorious
Clothed in righteousness
Full of tenderness
Come and worship him

92. Praise to the Lord, the Almighty,
the God of creation.
My heart is longing to offer

Melody make; dulcimer, harp, now awake.
Sound forth your praise, ev'ry nation.
93. Praise the Almighty, o'er all life so
wondrously reigning,

Have you not seen? All that is needful has been
sent by God's gracious ordaining.
94. Praise the Almighty, who prospers your work

see from the heavens the showers

Ponder anew what the Almighty can do;
infinite Love here befriends you.

101. Lord Jesus Chris, the only Son of

away forever. Stretch out your

reigh at God’s right hand, receive

PRAYER OF THE DAY
108. P: Hallelujah! I will give thanks to

All: Great are your works, O
Lord, pondered by all who
delight in them.
109. P: Majesty and splendor mark

112. P: You sent redemption to your

All: The fear of the Lord is the
beginning of wisdom; all
who practice this have a
good understanding. God’s
praise endures forever.
114. Alleluia! Lord and Savior:
open now your saving word.
Let it burn like fire within us:
Speak until our hearts are
stirred. Alleluia!
Lord, we sing for
the good news
that you bring.
GOSPEL ACCLAMATION p. 205 ELW
118. We are people created,
chosen by God.
Then we're washed ever gently,
in mercy and love.
Sin has power no more.
Jesus opened the door
to a fountain bringing healing,
and wholeness and more.
119. We are fed and we're nourished,
filled and refreshed.
Then our hunger returns and
again we are blessed.
For whatever the need,
God is greater indeed:
endless ocean, always deeper
than all of our need.
120. We are nourished by water,
all living things,
and by life that the Spirit
abundantly brings.
As we journey toward home,
may your presence be known:
precious river, ever-flowing,
now carry us home.
121. Now with praise
and thanksgiving,
we join the song.
All are welcome! We gather
to sing loud and strong.
Not enslaved but set free!
From now on all will be
one in Jesus, one in water,
baptized and set free!

those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,

139. Let all things now
living a song of
thanksgiving
to God Creator
triumphantly
raise, who fashioned
and made us,
protected and stayed
us, who still guides us
onto the end of our
days.
140. God’s banners
are o’er us,
God’s light goes
before us,
a pillar of fire shining
forth in the night,
till shadows have
vanished and
darkness is banished,
as forward we travel
from light into light.
141. God rules all the
forces: the stars in
their courses and sun
in its orbit obediently
shine; the hills and
the mountains,
the rivers and
fountains,
the deeps of the
ocean proclaim God
divine.
142. We too should be
voicing our love
and rejoicing;
with glad adoration a
song let us raise
till all things now
living unite in
thanksgiving:
“To God in the
highest, hosanna and
praise!”
