As Jesus approached Jerusalem on a donkey, he sent disciples ahead to retrieve a donkey for him to ride on, fulfilling a prophecy. Large crowds laid down cloaks and palm branches for the donkey to walk on, praising Jesus as he entered the city. When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the city was shaken and asked who he was, to which the crowds replied that he was Jesus the prophet from Nazareth.

2. Neighbors question if it is the same man, while others doubt. The Pharisees question the man about how his eyes were opened and on what day, as it was the Sabbath.
3. The Pharisees are divided on whether Jesus is from God. Jesus later finds the man and asks if he believes in the Son of Man, revealing himself as the one speaking to him.
The Triumphant Entry - John 12:9-19
In fulfillment of prophecy, Jesus enters into Jerusalem on a donkey. His next entry will be even greater.
God's plan of salvation!

Holy Week

The Easter Story
Jesus celebrated Passover with his disciples, telling them the bread and wine represented his body and blood. He prayed in the garden of Gethsemane before being betrayed by Judas and arrested. Pilate sentenced Jesus to crucifixion despite finding no fault in him. Jesus was mocked and crucified between two thieves. On the third day, Mary Magdalene and another Mary discovered Jesus' tomb was empty, and an angel told them he had risen from the dead.

Palm Sunday Story
- 1. 4. Palm Sunday: Matthew 21 As Jesus and his disciples approached Jerusalem, they came to Bethphage at the Mount of Olives. There Jesus sent two of the disciples on ahead with these instructions:
- 2. “Go to the village there ahead of you and at once you will find a donkey. Untie the donkey and bring it to me. If anyone says anything, tell him, “The master needs it and then he will let you go at once.” This happened in order to make what the prophet had said come true, “Tell the city of Zion, look your king is coming to you! He is humble and rides on a donkey.”
- 3. The disciples went and did as Jesus had ordered them. They brought the donkey and laid their cloaks over it, and he sat upon the donkey.
- 4. The very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and strewed them on the road.
- 5. The crowds preceding him and those following kept crying out and saying: "Hosanna to the Son of David; Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest." And when he entered Jerusalem the whole city was shaken and asked, "Who is this?“ And the crowds replied, "This is Jesus the prophet, from Nazareth in Galilee."
