Introduction
Community Initiative for Social Empowerment
(CISE) is a youth-led district based organization
committed to the empowerment of youth to
take active responsibility for their lives to shape
their destiny
LEGAL STATUS
• Established in 2004 CISE is a body corporate and
incorporated under the Trustees Incorporation
Act of Malawi (chapter 5.03 of laws of Malawi)
registration number TR/INC6515.
• It is registered with National Youth Council of
Malawi fulfilling the requirements of sections 22
and 23 of the "National Youth Council of Malawi
Act 1996" registration number CR/001/2014
Mission
• Work with communities to promote
transformational development to achieve
human dignity, self- determination and self-
reliance.
Vision
• A society where young people are valued for
their contribution and supported by their
communities and given opportunity to take
part in decision making processes.
Main Objectives
• To enhance levels of comprehensive awareness
of duty bearers and right holders on sexual
reproductive health rights, and how it relates to
socio-economic development
• The organisation shall operate towards fulfilling
the following objectives.
• To empower communities in Social Economic
Development Programs.
Main Objectives
• To empower youths through Micro-Enterprise
activities – income generating activities, business
seminars.
• To empower communities in Agricultural Programs
(e.g. use of land, water, power, trees, crops, livestock,
fish, and labor etc) to improve food security, economic
status, healthy, social justice, and climate change etc.
• To promote both environmental improvement and
practical conservation, through the provision of quality
education, encouragement and support to the local
population in environmental practice by working with
statutory and non-statutory agencies.

HIV and AIDS - promoting health and well-

on Sustainable Development Goals
