This document provides an agenda and guidelines for tutoring reading difficulties. It outlines assessing two students using evaluation tools, planning four tutoring sessions for each student based on assessments, and reflecting on the sessions. Students are instructed to blog about tutoring sessions on a wiki, videotape one session for self and peer evaluation, and write a case study introducing the student and outlining test findings, tutoring sessions, and conclusions.

4. Tutoring Guidelines Choose 2 students (primary, intermediate) Assess (if you have not already done so) using two or more evaluation tools. Plan tutoring sessions (4 per child = 8 total) based on the assessment findings. KIM – Be sure to consider the 5 variables as you plan Reflect on all 5 variables using the pbwiki.

5. Reflective Journal After each tutoring session: Log on to http://cirg654.pbwiki.com to blog about the five variables of the tutoring session. Read your classmates blog as well. Make comments to any of the postings.

6. Video Guidelines (Refer to Syllabus) Videotape one of your sessions. Watch the tape of yourself tutoring and complete the self-evaluation form. In the third week of class, exchange with a partner. Watch their tape and complete the peer evaluation form. Turn in your video with the self-evaluation form and the peer evaluation form.

7.
