Circuses portray a magical world for audiences but hide the suffering of animals behind the scenes. Circus animals live in inadequate and precarious conditions, and are trained through physical punishment, electric shocks, spiked collars, and other abusive methods. Most circus animals experience malnutrition and high rates of death, while wild animals should live freely in their natural habitats rather than imprisoned for life and forced to perform unnatural acts of entertainment.
