Have you ever thought the importance of circles in the field of transportation, industries, sports, navigation, carpentry, and in your daily life? This our the questions how will you appreciate the importance of circles.
Our lesson for today is all about circle. It is expected that at the end of the period each one should be able to define a circle, identify the parts of the given circle, appreciate the importance of the circle, and draw a circle to illustrate its parts.

Anybody who has an idea about circle?
Circle is the set of all points in a plane that are equidistant from a fixed point in the plane.
I have here a globe. Do you know the name of the lines that you can see here in the globe?
The line presence in the globe are longitude, latitude, and prime meridian.
Just like a globe the circle also contains lines and we have a name or terms for each line in the circle. Can you give some terms that you can recall in the circle?
Look at the illustration. Based on our definition a circle has its fixed point. Do you know what is the name of that fixed point?
Okay! Like in our life we always have a center. Who is our center of our life?
Thatβs right! Always put God our center of our life just like in the circle. We can name the circle according to its center. Then, what is the name of the circle?
Always remember that a radius is one half of the diameter.
Take note that diameter is twice of the radius.
