The Harvey Nash / KPMG CIO Survey for 2016 found that while the role of the chief digital officer continues to grow, the pace has slowed, with 19% of organizations now employing a CDO compared to 17% in 2015. The influence of CIOs is also growing, with 57% now sitting on executive boards or leadership committees. However, skills shortages remain a concern, with 65% of CIOs saying it is holding them back.
