In the 2008-09 period, CIC members engaged over 1,400 students in various programs and conducted $6.4 billion in funded research annually, reflecting a significant impact on doctoral education and resource sharing. The CIC also emphasizes cost savings through collaboration, achieving over $9 million in savings for its member institutions.
