Photoshop Tutorials
1.In the first photo I duplicated a tutorial effect called dispersion effect. This required at least 6
layers which helped give the picture the effect that part of the bodies were fading out of the
picture. As it fades the bodies it shows the brick background in the faded place, making it look a
bit foggy with a windy effect. To do this process you use duplicate layers, masking, paint brush
and bucket tools, the lasso tool, filtering, and liquifying. I also brightened the picture using the
brightness tool and added a contrast effect.
2. In the second photo that I used to go with my unit plan, I simply followed a tutorial to add
text and to excite the background. Since this photo is symbolizing a poster for my classroom, I
didn’t want to make it too detailed with multiple edits. I used the cropping, text tool, layering,
background enhancing, and the colorful background options provided on photoshop. This
poster will now stand out in my classroom, helping to trigger the students’ memory on the
development of idioms and how to discover them.
