This unit plan contains 5 lessons, each focusing on a different continent, to be taught over 5 days. The continents covered are the Americas, Asia, Africa, Oceania, and Europe. A variety of 21st century technologies will be incorporated into the lessons, including desktop publishing, YouTube, digital posters, WebQuests, podcasts, QR codes, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and more in order to teach students 21st century learning skills.

Abstract
This is a unit plan containing five different lessons. There will be one lesson for each day
of the week. The lessons are about the five different continents in the world. There will be one
continent covered a day. The continents that will be observed are the Americas, Asia, Africa,
Oceania, and Europe. The lessons will include a variety of technology to use. The technology
included will be Desktop Publishing, You Tube and Storytelling, Media and Materials (digital
posters), WebQuests, Digital Imaging, Podcasts, QR's and Voki, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Web
2.0 applications, Secondlife, and Web Design. The reason so much technology is included is
because I am enforcing twenty first century learning skills and applications.
