This document discusses the importance of confessing sins and having a repentant heart. It notes that confession means agreeing with God about your sin, while the unrepentant hide their sins from others and themselves. The document encourages confessing sins to experience freedom, joy, and restoration from God, as God desires honesty and a broken, repentant spirit over sacrifice. It emphasizes that hiding sin never works and your life is better when you confess.
Matthew 6 instructs us on how to avoid self righteousness and live out a righteousness from God. Moving beyond control and manipulation and into fellowship and bearing fruit through abiding in the Lord. The last verse in the passage serves as a great method for spiritual seekers.
A look into a few of the teachings contained on the Sermon on the Mount. The main focus is on "Ask, seek, knock." Cartoons from Rev. Fun are thrown in.
This document is King David's prayer of repentance for his sins as recorded in Psalm 51. In the prayer, David acknowledges and confesses his sins to God, asking for God's mercy and forgiveness. He asks God to wash away his iniquity, cleanse him from sin, and create a pure heart within him. David requests that God not cast him away or take away his Holy Spirit. He hopes that through God's salvation and forgiveness, he can teach others of God's ways and sing of God's righteousness. David acknowledges that God desires truthfulness and wisdom over sacrifices.
When we have some area of our life that we know needs fixing but we can't fix it - how do I change? What is the secret? First, submit yourself wholly to God; Second, recognize your inability to fix yourself; and third, let the Holy Spirit have control of your life.

1) Jesus warns his followers not to love his servants more than him and to fully rely on him for their salvation rather than keeping it in their own hands.
2) He describes his church on earth as a bath of purification - those who truly wash themselves can come to him to be dried and kept with his love, while those who only enjoy "splashing and dabbling" will remain like mill wheels stuck in the water.
3) Jesus promises to receive like a prodigal son anyone who has performed true works of repentance and keep them within his strength.

„Oh, but why did his father receive him? He received him because this son had denied him-self; this son who had wandered away from love did not expect anything after that but only mercy.”
Elizabeth Barrett Browning explores the depth and breadth of her love in this poem. She loves her partner to the fullest extent that her soul can reach, meeting both the deepest needs as well as the simple needs of everyday life. She loves freely, purely, passionately, and with the faith of her childhood. Her love encompasses all aspects of her being, from her past griefs to the smiles, tears, and very breath of her life.
This document contains excerpts from the Book of Revelation chapters 3 and 7-13, discussing Jesus' messages to the seven churches of Asia Minor, and his promise to return. It also contains reflective questions about learning from history, trusting Jesus fully, and dealing honestly with our spiritual condition. The overall theme is preparing for Christ's return by heeding his words to the churches and making ourselves ready through faithfulness.
„… The true church of Jesus Christ is there where the brothers gather together to be one with My body, to be one for not passion and all to take Jesus Christ, for a holy and eternal prep-aration in the body;
The church is nothing else than the sons who serve God on the earth; God and not to them-selves; to each others in the Lord and not to themselves.”
The document is a collection of songs, prayers, scripture passages and announcements related to Christianity. It includes the lyrics of several praise songs focusing on wanting to see and be in God's light. It also includes the Lord's Prayer, passages about confession and redemption through Christ, and announcements about upcoming church events.

The document discusses Paul's letter to the Galatians regarding those who were promoting circumcision. It provides several reasons Paul gives for rejecting circumcision: 1) Christ will be of no benefit if they receive circumcision. 2) They will be obligated to keep the entire law. 3) They will be severed from Christ and no longer have access to grace. The document also notes Paul's harsh statement that those troubling the Galatians about circumcision should go further and emasculate or castrate themselves.
1) The document is an introduction to Saint Benedict's Rule for monks, inviting monks to renounce their own will and obey God through obedience.
2) It urges monks to pray that God will help them perform good works and avoid evil deeds so that God will not punish them as wicked servants.
3) The introduction calls monks to wake from sleep and listen to God's voice calling them to come, listen, and run to Him while they have time before death comes.

The document provides commentary on Revelation chapters 1-3, focusing on the letter to the church in Sardis. It describes the historical context of Sardis and analyzes themes in the letter. The key points are:
- Sardis was once a wealthy city but had become known for unfulfilled promises like the "unsinkable" Titanic.
- The church in Sardis appeared alive but was spiritually dead despite a reputation. Jesus calls them to repent of inactive faith.
- Faith without works is dead, so they must keep Jesus' commands to overcome. The faithful will be vindicated and their names preserved.
Focus on where you WANT to go. Fix your eyes on your target. Why? Because you will certainly go to what you are looking at. But you can decide where to look.
This document outlines five things that are needed: 1) A good testimony before the world through good works and sincerity; 2) Prayer that is done privately at any time or place; 3) Public sacrifice for Christ through fasting and helping others; 4) A little preparation for tomorrow such as preparing food for guests; 5) Basic necessities like food and clothing. The conclusion exhorts the reader to first seek God's kingdom and righteousness and not to worry as God will provide for all needs.
Sound doctrine starts with what Jesus said. John wrote the words Jesus spoke to 7 established churches of his day. What did Jesus say to them? How do those words fit your church's doctrine?
Jesus was crucified and died for the sins of mankind. He was buried in a tomb, but God raised Him from the dead on the third day. When women disciples went to Jesus' tomb, they found it empty and were told by angels that He had risen. Jesus later appeared to His disciples to prove that He had been resurrected.
The document appears to be lyrics from contemporary Christian worship songs. It discusses glorifying God, who reigns over us, lifting our hands, voice, and hearts in praise and worship to the Lord. It references God's majesty and power being forever. The lyrics express a desire to be face to face with God and longing to be in God's presence. It discusses being alive again through God's calling and breaking through deafness, shattering darkness and washing away blindness. Other lyrics are about undergoing change through God's spirit and living differently, having forgiveness and grace. It was made to love and be loved by God.

The document is a prayer service for the Third Hour from the Byzantine Daily Office. It includes:
- Opening prayers asking for God's mercy and blessing, including the Prayer to the Holy Trinity of Saint Madarius.
- Psalms and readings from scripture focused on praising God.
- Closing prayers again asking for God's mercy and protection, and blessing in the name of the Lord. The service aims to guide believers in prayer and contemplation of God throughout the day.

The document provides the readings and commentary for a Bible study on the 7th Sunday in Ordinary Time A. It includes the first reading from Leviticus about being holy and loving one's neighbor, the responsorial Psalm about God's mercy and compassion, the second reading from 1 Corinthians about being temples of the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel from Matthew about being perfected in love. The commentary analyzes each passage and ties the themes of love, holiness and perfection together. Reflections question whether one loves themselves, their body as God's temple, and others like neighbors and enemies. The document aims to help prepare a homily focusing on developing extraordinary love as Christians.
The Sixth Sunday of Easter readings focus on the theme of prayer and the Father answering our prayers because of Jesus. In John 16:23-33, Jesus promises that whatever we ask the Father in His name, He will give it to us because Jesus has overcome the world. 1 Timothy 2:1-6 encourages prayers for all people, including those in authority, so that Christians may live peaceful lives and more people may come to know the truth. Like the Israelites who looked to the bronze serpent to be healed of snakebites, Christians look to Jesus to be healed of sin and death. Through faith in Christ, the Father answers our prayers.

1. While Jesus is present when Christians gather in His name, the Bible also says He walks among the churches and will always be with believers, indicating He desires relationship with individuals as well as groups.
2. God wants to dwell with His people individually and collectively. Jesus promises to be with believers always, even until the end of the age.
3. Those who are not Christians can still find God's presence when gathering with other believers seeking truth, as Jesus draws all people to Himself. God desires relationship with all people.

Having fed upon these heavenly delights, we

food by which we truly live. Through Christ our
Lord.
All: Amen.
Post Communion Prayer
The Lord be with you.
All: And with your spirit.
May almighty God bless you, the Father, and
the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
All: Amen.
Go in peace, glorifying the Lord by your life.
The document provides notes and commentary for a Bible study on the 7th Sunday in Ordinary Time, summarizing the readings from Leviticus, 1 Corinthians, and Matthew which call Christians to imitate God's holiness by loving neighbors and enemies, forgiving others, and turning the other cheek in response to harm instead of seeking revenge. The readings encourage believers to go above and beyond what is expected of others in showing compassion.
The readings discuss the work of the Holy Spirit and waiting on the Lord. Isaiah 12 speaks of trusting in God, who is our strength and salvation. James 1 emphasizes hearing and doing God's word with meekness. John 16 has Jesus promising to send the Holy Spirit as the Helper, who will convict the world of sin and guide believers into all truth. Those who wait on the Lord and trust in His strength will be strengthened by the Holy Spirit.
The document is a prayer service for the Sixth Hour from the Byzantine Daily Office. It includes opening prayers, Psalms, a Troparion and Kontakion for the day, petitions, and closing prayers. The service involves communal recitation of prayers and Psalms to praise God, ask for mercy and protection, and seek guidance through the day.
Let us pray
All: O God, who for our redemption gave your only-begotten Son to the death of the Cross, and by his glorious resurrection delivered us from the power of the enemy, grant us, your servants, to die to sin and to live for righteousness, that, meriting your favor by the way we live, we may be worthy to come to the paschal feast with minds made pure; through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
This document contains the liturgy for the beginning of Mass on the first Sunday of Lent. It includes opening prayers and hymns, readings from Deuteronomy and Romans, a Gospel reading about Jesus' temptation in the desert, prayers of the faithful, and preparations for the Eucharist. The liturgy focuses on Lenten themes of temptation, fasting, and drawing closer to God.
This document discusses the necessity of salvation through Jesus Christ. It begins by explaining that we must understand God's holiness and our own sinfulness and unrighteousness. It then explains who Jesus is as the Word made flesh, who lived a sinless life and died for our sins. We are called to repent of our sins, deny ourselves, and follow Christ by taking up our cross. Counting the full cost of discipleship is required. Finally, it emphasizes that salvation through Jesus is worth any cost, as it is the only way to be reconciled to God and spared from His wrath.
This document discusses the meaning and traditions of Ash Wednesday and receiving ashes. It explains that ashes symbolize humanity's mortality and sinfulness, and serve as a call to repentance. By receiving the ashes, Christians acknowledge their need for God's mercy and salvation. The ashes also remind believers to fast from pride and selfishness, and instead use Lent to help others through acts of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.
Jesus taught his disciples how to pray using what is known as the Lord's Prayer. He instructed them to pray privately to God as their Father in heaven, focusing on hallowing God's name, desiring God's kingdom and will to be done, asking for daily provision and forgiveness as we forgive others, and requesting deliverance from temptation and evil. Jesus emphasized humble, sincere prayer over repetitive, empty words.
The document provides a sermon outline for the Sixth Sunday of Easter focusing on prayer. It includes several Bible passages as references. The summary is:
1) The sermon discusses how God the Father answers prayers because of Jesus Christ.
2) Key points are that Jesus opened access to the Father through his incarnation and death, and Christians can pray boldly in Jesus' name with confidence as children of God.
3) The Bible passages reference how Moses interceded for the Israelites when they were being attacked, how Jesus is the mediator between God and humanity, and encourage doing God's word and praying for all people.
A presentation by Adam Arnold at the event "Bullying in Our Midst" (4/14/13) - http://semnsynod.org/ministries/cyf/bullying-in-our-midst/
What makes a bully be a bully? What conditions and variables are in place that makes him/her think it’s okay to be cruel to others? If we really want to stop the epidemic that is literally taking the lives of our youth, we must go beyond treating the symptoms of the bully’s behavior. We must look at the source of the problem.
Utilizing the latest research on bullying, psychotherapist Adam Arnold discusses systemic, practical, and strength-based approaches for getting to the heart of bullying.
Adam holds a Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychotherapy, is Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and is a member of the LGBT Therapists Network, the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy as well as the Minnesota Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.

Lição 12: João 15 a 17 – O Espírito Santo e a Oração Sacerdotal | 2° Trimestr...OmarBarrezueta1
The pervasiveness of Lying in today's World.pptxniwres
In our interconnected world, lies weave through the fabric of society like hidden threads. We encounter them in politics, media, personal relationships, and even within ourselves. The prevalence of deception raises profound questions about truth, trust, and the human condition.
Astronism, Cosmism and Cosmodeism: the space religions espousing the doctrine...Cometan
This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.

The Book of Revelation, filled with symbolic and apocalyptic imagery, presents one of its most striking visions in Revelation 9:3-12—the locust army. Understanding the significance of this locust army provides insight into the broader themes of divine judgment, protection, and the ultimate triumph of God’s will as depicted in Revelation.
Introduction
Mantra Yoga is an exact science. "Mananat trayate iti mantrah- by the Manana (constant thinking or recollection) of which one is protected or is released from the round of births and deaths, is Mantra." That is called Mantra by the meditation (Manana) on which the Jiva or the individual soul attains freedom from sin, enjoyment in heaven and final liberation, and by the aid of which it attains in full the fourfold fruit (Chaturvarga), i.e., Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. A Mantra is so called because it is achieved by the mental process.
Lucid Dreaming: Understanding the Risks and Benefits
The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.
