This document provides an overview of chronic miasms, which are acquired, inherited epigenetic characteristics that contain structural weaknesses passed down families. It describes the 8 main chronic miasms - Psora, Malaria, Tuberculosis, Ringworm, Sycosis, Cancer, Syphilis, and Lyme - and discusses their key characteristics, expressions, seasonal cycles, and levels of treatment. The document also briefly looks at each miasm individually, outlining their main meaning, impact, and expressions.
This document discusses symptomatology in homeopathy. It defines symptoms as any changes perceived by the patient, others, or physician that indicate disease. Symptoms can be subjective, reported by the patient, or objective, observed by others. The document outlines various classifications of symptoms including general vs particular symptoms, mental vs physical generals, and common vs uncommon symptoms. It also discusses the importance and elements of symptoms in homeopathic case analysis and prescribing.
The document discusses miasms, which are chronic disease tendencies according to homeopathic theory. It describes the three main miasms - psora, sycosis, and syphilis. Psora is associated with need, sycosis with deception, and syphilis with destruction. The deepest and most pathological miasm is syphilis, while psora is more superficial. Understanding a patient's miasm is important for properly analyzing the case, arriving at the correct remedy, dosages, and prognosis. The document discusses the concept of the "trinity of life" in homeopathy, which refers to the body, mind, and spirit as the three interconnected parts that make up life. It explains that these three forces interact and depend on each other, and that the health of the whole organism relies on harmony between these forces. The "vital force" is described as the governing force that maintains this harmony, and disease occurs when there is an imbalance or disruption in the vital force.
Repertorisation & different method of homoeopathic repertorisationDrShuchitachattree
This document discusses different methods of homoeopathic repertorisation. It defines repertorisation as the art of proper symptom elicitation, evaluation, categorization and classification to determine the most similar remedy. The two main methods described are the aggregation method, where all symptoms are listed and remedies scored, and the elimination method, where symptoms are arranged hierarchically to eliminate remedies. Specific techniques like single step elimination, cascading elimination, and the Kentian and Hahnemannian methods are also outlined.
This document discusses the proper procedure for examining patients and recording case histories in homeopathy. It emphasizes allowing patients to describe their symptoms freely without interruption, using the patient's own language, and not leading or biasing the patient. Symptoms should be arranged clearly with dates and in a way that allows easy reference later. Circumstances like occupation, lifestyle, and environment can provide important context for symptoms. The examiner must be careful not to confuse the case history with their own preconceptions or the effects of previous incorrect prescriptions.
This document provides an overview of the regional repertory "Repertory to the symptoms of rheumatism, sciatica etc" by Alfred Pulford. It discusses the author, contents, organization, merits and demerits of the book. The repertory contains 211 pages organized into 29 chapters based on anatomical regions. It provides concise rubrics for rheumatism symptoms and includes accompanying general symptoms. While specific to rheumatism, it serves as a quick reference for practitioners.

This document discusses temperaments in homeopathy and their relationship to remedy selection. It defines temperaments as the psycho-physical personality traits that influence an individual's metabolism, thought processes, and actions. The four classical temperaments are nervous, bilious, sanguine, and phlegmatic. Temperaments are determined from birth but homeopathic remedies can modify tendencies. Remedies may be incorrectly prescribed if temperaments are not properly considered. Symptom patterns often vary between temperaments, so the totality of symptoms rather than just temperament should guide remedy selection.

This presentation is an overview of Mercury group of remedies in Homoeopathy. An attempt to explain this group according to different authors for convinience of scholars.
This document discusses remedy reactions in homeopathy. It defines remedy reaction as the secondary action that occurs when the vital force responds to a homeopathic remedy. It notes that Hahnemann and Kent both extensively wrote about observing how remedies impact patients. The document outlines 10 different types of reactions that may occur, such as aggravations, ameliorations, or new/old symptoms appearing, and what each reaction may indicate about the remedy's appropriateness, the disease prognosis, and whether the case is curable. Monitoring remedy reactions is important for assessing cases and determining the need for further prescriptions.
W a allen, Repertory to the symptoms of intermittent fever by W A Allenvandana b e
This document provides a summary of W.A. Allen's 1883 book "Repertory to the Symptoms of Intermittent Fever". The book contains repertory sections on the chill, heat, sweat, and apyrexia stages of intermittent fever for 133 remedies. It was intended to help physicians quickly analyze fever cases and select the most similar remedy based on the patient's symptoms in each fever stage. While focused only on intermittent fever, the repertory comprehensively covers symptoms for each stage of the fever cycle.
The common cold is a viral infection of the upper respiratory tract that usually lasts 7 days. It is caused by a number of viruses like rhinoviruses and parainfluenza viruses. Symptoms include nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, cough, and fatigue. While antibiotics are ineffective for treatment, over-the-counter medications can provide relief from symptoms. Good handwashing and covering coughs/sneezes are recommended for prevention. The common cold should be distinguished from influenza, which has a more abrupt onset and causes higher fevers and more severe body aches.

Homoeopathy believes that medicine is governed by principles, while the old school of medicine denies principles and only deals with disease results without investigating causes. Homoeopathy perceives that there are causes that precede effects, and traces the chain of cause and effect from beginning to end. The true homeopath understands that it is the person who is sick, not just the symptoms, whereas allopaths only see the sickness without understanding the individual patient.

The document discusses the concept of susceptibility in homeopathy. It provides definitions from homeopathic scholars on susceptibility as the body's ability to receive impressions and react to stimuli. Susceptibility plays a role in health and disease and determines how the body will respond to remedies. There are different types of susceptibility including natural, morbid, and artificial susceptibility induced by medicines. Factors like constitution, age, habits modify one's susceptibility. Homeopathy aims to restore normal susceptibility through similar remedies to cure diseases.
The document discusses various aspects of miasms and their application in homeopathic practice. It begins by describing the three main miasms - psora, sycosis, and syphilis. It then discusses identifying features, common disorders, desires, aggravations/aversions, perspiration, sleep patterns, and other generals for each miasm. It emphasizes using a three-layered and 18-layered compendium approach to categorize symptoms and interpret rubrics based on the six main miasms: psora, sycosis, syphilis, sycotic, tubercular, and cancer. The document provides guidance on interpreting mental symptoms and applying a 42-rubric
The document provides information on the main symptoms and characteristics of several homeopathic remedies including Aconitum Napellus, Bryonia Alba, Hepar Sulphur, Ignatia Amara, Silicea Terra, Lycopodium Clavatum, and Chamomilla. The document discusses how illness affects not just the physical body but the person as a whole and their relationships and place in the world. It begins in the body with symptoms and disease but then spreads outward, causing feelings of alienation from one's body, oneself, and others. This expanding sense of alienation gives rise to emotions like fear, anger, vulnerability and most significantly, isolation and loneliness. The document uses examples of patients to illustrate how illness can limit one's abilities, cause loss of control over one's body, and lead to feelings of shame over changes to appearance or bodily functions.

It notes that for cells and tissues to function properly, they require energy and raw materials from food. Anything that prevents proper functioning can lead to illness. It defines health as a state of well-being and disease as a disruption in functioning. Diseases can be acute (short-term) or chronic (long-term) and infectious (caused by pathogens) or non-infectious. Principles of treatment include reducing symptoms and killing the cause through antibiotics for bacteria or developing anti-viral drugs. Principles of prevention focus on avoiding exposure through measures like immunization, safe water/sanitation,
The document compares the Black Death and Swine Flu pandemics. It describes the symptoms of each disease, including buboes, blackish spots, fever, coughing, and vomiting. Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease caused by the spirochete Treponema pallidum. It progresses through four stages - primary, secondary, latent, and tertiary - if left untreated. In the primary stage, a painless sore called a chancre appears at the site of infection. In the secondary stage, a rash may appear on the body along with fever and swollen lymph nodes. Without treatment, syphilis can spread and cause damage to internal organs in the latent and tertiary stages, potentially resulting in neurological or cardiovascular problems. Congenital syphilis can also occur if a pregnant woman passes the infection to her fetus.

The development of nanogold-based cancer therapy could revolutionize oncology by providing a more targeted, less invasive treatment option. This project contributes to the growing body of research aimed at harnessing nanotechnology for medical applications, paving the way for future clinical trials and potential commercial applications.
Cancer remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide, prompting the need for innovative treatment methods. Nanotechnology offers promising new approaches, including the use of gold nanoparticles (nanogold) for targeted cancer therapy. Nanogold particles possess unique physical and chemical properties that make them suitable for drug delivery, imaging, and photothermal therapy.

8 Surprising Reasons To Meditate 40 Minutes A Day That Can Change Your Life.pptxHolistified Wellness
We’re talking about Vedic Meditation, a form of meditation that has been around for at least 5,000 years. Back then, the people who lived in the Indus Valley, now known as India and Pakistan, practised meditation as a fundamental part of daily life. This knowledge that has given us yoga and Ayurveda, was known as Veda, hence the name Vedic. And though there are some written records, the practice has been passed down verbally from generation to generation.

2. What Is It?
“Acquired, inherited characteristic.
“Not genetic (only 1-3% of conditions genetic)
“Epigenetic, but inherited - ‘noxious influence, vapor’
“Various conditions in family are passed on as
structural weaknesses.
“Contains, in spiritual sense, karmic baggage.
“There are transient and intransigent miasms.
4. Chronic Miasms Map
There are 4 “dominant” chronic miasms:!
Psora-Tuberculosis-Sycosis-Syphilis!
and four “recessive” chronic miasms:!
Malaria-Ringworm-Cancer-Lyme
7. Seasonal

8. Levels
“C-scale potency - 4 levels - physical/etheric/astral/
ontic
“F-scale potency - 3-4 rounds possible
“We are a duality or two-fold being: Upper and Nether
“C-scale addresses the Upper, incarnating being
“F-scale addresses the Nether, dynamic being
“Depth of treatment varies in each case.
9. A Brief Look at the Miasms
Their Meaning, Impact and Expressions
10. so - how do we recognize the
Chronic miasms?
Psora- Poverty/Lack
11. Psora
Keynotes: lack, dryness
*Pathology - skin (psoriasis).
*Lack vitality and are weak.!
*Catch every cold, slow to recover.!
*Expect the worst, pessimistic.!
*Fears - health and poverty.
12. Must wear a warm or fur hat all year, even in summer. (One of the very coldest remedies.)
Street people who carry all their possessions with them, and who wear coats and hats even in
the summer weather.
Headaches, worse from fasting, worse from suppressed eruptions, worse drafts and open air.
Chronic infection of eyes, sinuses, ears. (Children with a perpetually running nose.)
Chronic discharges from ears, offensive discharges.
Acne. Rosacea. Oily skin.
Eruptions behind ears, on neck, face, scalp and head, very itchy.
Crusty or scaly eruptions on head and face.
Styes. Inflammed margins of the eyelids.
Mouth ulcers.
Face has a dirty look even when well-washed.
14. Malaria
Keynote: victimization *General sense of weariness.
*Liver and spleen. !
Cold hands; cold hands/feet at night.
*Soles of feet almost numb.
*Copious perspiration on least
exertion.
*Aversion to food. !
*Nausea, colic, cramps, diarrhea,
and headaches.
16. Tuberculinum
*‘Change is as good as a rest’!
*They may change jobs/houses
more often than most. !
*Desire for travel.
*Never better than when
planning trip/renovation/change.!
*Frustrated if no change, can
become malicious!
*’Angel child/Devil child’!
*Romantic/romanticise!
*Flashy, stylish clothing!
*OCD-like behavior!
*Feel suffocated, need to break
free
Keynote: restlessness
18. Ringworm
In the family history, we would
see:
!
Athlete’s Foot (fungal infections
on the feet). Fungal infections
under fingernails or toenails.
Scales on the skin. Hair loss in
patches. History of Ringworm.
SAD – Seasonal Affective
Disorder. Deep Depressions
in Late Winter.
Keynote:Victimization
19. Ringworm is not a worm – it is a systemic fungus.!
!
The feelings of victimization in Malaria is passive, like being
attacked by mosquitoes, but in Ringworm it is much stronger, more
penetrating, depressed, angry and trapped. !
!
Ringworm is a more concentrated and active form of victimization,
and more powerful. !
!
The person wants to and can’t, they have the desire but lack the
confidence.!
20. In Rajan Sankaran’s proving of Ringworm, he understands the main
feeling of this miasm to be that the task at hand is just beyond where
the person can be sure of success. !
!
So they try to do something, and lack the confidence.!
!
Then they become hopeful that maybe they can accomplish the task,
and they struggle at it.!
!
But at some point they will decide again that it is not going to work for
them, that it is beyond their reach. So they will give up, and think they
have to live with it.!
!
But then another possibility seems like it might work. So they get
hopeful once again.!
!
And they start trying once more, and struggling, and then have to give it
up again, because it is still beyond them.!
21. So there is an alternation between struggling and trying, and then
giving up, between hopefulness and resignation.!
!
Interestingly, the time of this miasm is 4-6 weeks after the winter
holiday season, so often people will write resolutions of what they
want to accomplish for the New Year. They make big plans, and try
at first, and then give up their hope to make their resolution work – !
!
So you can see this in people who want to lose weight, or someone
who wants to give up smoking, or change their lives in another way.!
!
24. Sex, drugs and rock and roll! Or now, “techno or screamo music.”
And raves. !
!
These are people who are extremely passionate, and energetic, and
who can get into problems from their strong need for expression
and for venting their energy.!
!
They want to experience everything, extreme sports, extreme sex,
extreme emotions.!
!
They work in extremes – they either have passionate relationships
filled with love or hate, they get great grades in school, or they fail
miserably. They can perform brilliantly at work, and then be totally
inept.!
!
They can be very aggressive, which can lead to cruelty and violence.!
25. They love the night, and when most people are going to bed, they
are just getting started.!
!
They have discharges, and feel better for them. !
!
Medorrhinum is the father of all of the “itis” conditions –
sinusitis, urethritis, vaginitis, tonsilitis, etc. and other
inflammatory complaints.
28. They are the women (or men) who volunteer at their child’s school,
or the church, or the hospital.!
!
They take care of everyone, run the house, prepare the meals, do
all of the laundry, make sure everything is wonderful for their
family –!
!
But they neglect to take care of themselves, to do things that feed
their own soul, and make use of their generative and creative
energy – so that energy goes toward making tumours instead.!
29. Dancing and music are one of their passions, and are an outlet for
them.!
!
They also love the excitement and powerful energy of
thunderstorms.!
!
They are very sympathetic people. They can be timid.!
!
They have fears about their health and cancer. They also have
worries about school examinations, and don’t like crowds. !
!
They have a lot of worries and anticipatory fears.!
31. Syphilis
Abscesses. Acne. Alcoholism.
Hair loss (sometimes entire
body). Aneurysm. Anxiety.
Bone pains. Compulsive
disorder. Headaches.
Insomnia. Vaginal discharge
(often staining or burning).
Malignancy. Mouth ulcers.
Neuralgia. Psoriasis. Scoliosis.
Skin ulcer. Astigmatism.
"Growing" pains.
Keynote: Destruction and
Self-destruction
32. In this miasm there is destruction that either manifests internally
or externally.!
!
Emotionally the person can let everything in their life crash down
around them, and mentally they can go further, into insanity.!
!
There is not a strong connection with family or others, and a family
history of alcoholism is one sign that this miasm is present.!
!
Physically there is erosion of the bones, dissolving of muscles, and
bone pains, especially at night, which some people think are
“growing pains.”!
!
The discharges tend to dissolve tissue, the wounds tend to ulcerate,
and the skin dissolves so it is harder to heal.!
33. They are worse at night, they can dread the night, because their
symptoms are so much worse once the sun sets, until morning.!
!
You may see asymmetrical features, the face can be distorted, ears at
different heights or of a strange shape, pointed teeth that get caries
at the gum line.!
!
Birth defects.
!
They use drugs to more of an extreme than Sycosis, and use the
more serious drugs.!
!
Where Sycosis might sink into a depression and threaten suicide,
Syphilis will go through with it.!
!
34. !
The Syphlinum patient may wash his hands literally a hundred
times a day. Every time he touches a public doorknob, every time
he handles money, every time he shakes somebody's hand, he is
taken by an irresistible desire to wash. !
!
The patient may be aware that their behaviours are strange, but are
not able to stop them, and then they fear a downward slide into
insanity.!
!
Their self-destructiveness may appear in eating disorders (anorexia
or bulimia), or cutting themselves. They may have multiple
piercings, many tattoos, and enjoy the mutilation of their bodies.!
37. All we can go on are the current chronic and acute states –
and they make one think of the following conditions that
we might expect if you went back in the family history:
!
!
Arthritis. Fibromylagia. Chronic Fatigue. Degerative skin
conditions. Neurological symptoms. Eye problems.
Kidney and liver problems. Meniere’s syndrome. Paralysis.
Austism Spectrum Diseases. Modern neuropathies –
Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, etc.
38. “Like other spirochetes, such as those that cause syphilis, the Lyme
spirochete can remain in the human body for years in a non-
metabolic state. It is essentially in suspended animation, and since
it does not metabolise in this state, antibiotics are not absorbed
or effective. When the conditions are right, those bacteria that
survive can seed back into the blood stream and initiate a
relapse.” (like acute Malaria)!
!
NOTE: While it was first thought that B. burgdorferi was the only
species causing Lyme disease, it has since been determined that any
number of the different species in the genus Borrelia might be
capable of this feat.!
39. THE IMITATOR’S NEW CLOTHES!
!
Syphilis was known as the “great imitator” because its multiple
manifestations mimicked other known diseases. !
!
Lyme borreliosis, likewise, has now entered the stage as “the
new great imitator.” !
!
Homoeopathy knows the major syphilitic remedy, Mercurius,
as the “great masquerader.” Judging by the close family
connection between both spirochetes, it does not come as a
surprise that one of very first cases of borreliosis, in 1922 in
France, had a weakly positive syphilis test and thus was treated
with arsenicals, the then current treatment for syphilis.!
40. There are a wide range of symptoms associated with Lyme
borreliosis. Symptoms vary greatly, one or more systems may be
involved, and new manifestations continue to be described. Like
syphilis, Lyme borreliosis may remain latent and asymptomatic for
a long period of time; progress for many years through successive
stages; or fluctuate dramatically and unpredictably.!
!
Many Lyme patients were first diagnosed with other illnesses such
as arthritis, juvenile arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia,
chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis, lupus, early ALS
[amyotrophic lateral sclerosis], early Alzheimer’s disease, Crohn’s
disease, irritable bowel syndrome and various other more
nondescript illnesses.!
