This fall, each student at our high schools will be provided with a Chromebook
and case to personalize and support learning inside and outside of the
classroom.
This technology will help students to:
● Set goals and monitor their own learning.
● Give and receive feedback on their learning.
● Have more choice and bring their voices into their learning
experiences.

4. Chromebook
Distribution Process & Dates
Chromebooks will be distributed at various times during
August and the first week of school.
To prepare in advance, parents/guardians may:
1. Pay insurance fee online

5. Care and Use
● You will be provided with a power cord and case, in addition to your
Chromebook.
● Like any other school-issued item, you are responsible for taking care of
the Chromebook.
● Insurance does not cover intentional misuse, damage or carelessness.
● If you lose or misuse items issued to you, you will be responsible for the
cost to replace them.
● Chromebooks are a $300+ item and they are fragile. Conduct yourself
accordingly.

6. ● Accidental damage and theft insurance protects
our investment.
● The insurance fee is $37 per year per student.
$22 if the student qualifies for free or reduced
price lunch.

7. Save your password NOW!
In order to assist students with Chromebook start up in the
fall, your Robbinsdale password will not be changed.
Please take out your phone (!) and save your password in
your phone or another safe place for easy retrieval in the
fall.
