6. Child labour is an important and a serious global issue and all the
countries of the world are directly or indirectly affected by it. However, it
is very common in Latin America, Africa and Asia. According to a survey,
in several Asian countries, 1/10 manpower consists of child labour. In
Pakistan this number is from 8 to 10 million. According to some
estimates, every fifth household in Pakistan employs children as
domestic employees and a majority (62 percent) of them are girls. An
estimated 9 to 12 million children live on the streets of Pakistan’s major
cities. Moreover The status of child labour inspection is poor. It was
estimated that one quarter of the country’s workforce was made up of
child laborers. In Pakistan’s city Hyderabad, children enter the workforce
at the age of 8 or 10 years and they make bangles and bracelets in
different factories.

82.05 million children and adolescents
from 0 to 19 years old, which will
gradually increase as 84.28 millions,
86.88 millions, 88.86 million and 87.05

million children of primary school age do
not attend any school
