After far too long a wait this is finally finished. Years ago I was asked by a fellow preacher to write a book concerning the teaching and doctrine of the fullness of the Holy Spirit and the liberty of speaking in tongues.
It went on the back burner, I could never see the importance of published books and I'm still faintly bemused by the fact that I had a perfectly good set of working notes on the subject of "How to Say It" which was about the skill of putting a message together for effective preaching. Hardly anybody showed any interest in the working notes until another friend of mine published it in a hardback cover. I never cease to be amazed at the gullibility of us all who tend to look on the outside and not at the heart of the matter.
Once I got interested in multimedia presentations and the effects of social media style ministry I decided, as unto the Lord, that I ought to publish some plain scriptural content concerning the revelation of The Gift of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues in general.
This is number seven in the series and it looks at the implications of the teaching of the Word of God in the first book of Corinthians and how many have come to wrest the word of God to the loss of many and the confusion of most. Here is to letting a little plain scriptural light into the dimness of our understanding in the hope that we will be flooded with joy and power upon realising that this gift is for us and our children and for as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Tit 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
Knowledge makes people arrogant. This concept seems to be completely different from the world’s thinking. If I learn more, then I should know the breadth of knowledge. I should be like a learned person, and I should be more humble. But why the Bible said so, if this is a truth that violates the rules of the world. In this chapter, let us carefully look for the truth of the Bible for detail analysis.

When we hear that we are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in it, do we become complacent after hearing this? I think God wants to live among us. If there are no us, then where will God live? But if you think about it carefully, what does God say about you? The place where God is must be holy, but for the people of the world, that is, those who live in the flesh all day long, will God live in it? ? The answer is obvious. Only those who walk in the light, that is, do the will of God, are those whom God loves, and are those in whom Jesus Christ dwells. These are the people God says are you. And once God comes in, we must not be complacent, but must be cautious and fearful, because as long as there are some dirty things, God will go away from us. In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. 3. Grace Is What Saves Lost Mankind
• Without grace not a single person
could be saved.
• The grace of God is the complete plan of
redemption secured for all mankind by God’s

• Hebrews 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so

7. Do Not Abuse God’s Grace
• The Bible repeatedly warns Christians of the
danger of abusing God’s grace.

hardly spare backsliders who do the same
things.
8. Clear Scriptural Reasoning
• Romans 11:21 For if God spared not the
natural branches, take heed lest he also spare
not thee.
• What does the term “take heed lest his spare
not thee” mean if grace is unconditional?
9. An Old Testament Principle
• In the Old Testament, a son that was
incurably “stubborn” and “rebellious” was
stoned to death:
• while we are not in the old Testament now
we do have more light and with the light
comes accountability.
10. Is it Death that Saves Us?
• Does God Kill to Preserve the State of Grace?
• When loving parents had done all they could to
correct their son, after they had chastened him many
times:
• Deuteronomy 21:18 If a man have a stubborn and
rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his
father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when
they have chastened him, will not hearken unto
them:
11. if he still refused to be corrected,
• God commanded the parents to drag him to
the gate of the city where he was to be
stoned to death!
• These heartbroken parents did not do this to
keep their son from falling from grace; they
did it because he had gone too far.
13. Proves to Be Incurably Rebellious
• However, if he proves to be incurably rebellious
he is “rejected”
• Hebrews 12:17 For ye know how that afterward,
when he would have inherited the blessing, he
was rejected: for he found no place of
repentance, though he sought it carefully with
tears.
14. That “evil servant” will be cast into hell
• Matthew 24:48-51 But and if that evil servant shall
say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And
shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat
and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant
shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and
in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him
asunder, and appoint him his portion with the
hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of
teeth.
15. You Can Sell Your Birthright
• Just as Esau sold his earthly birthright, it is possible for Christians
to sell their heavenly birthright
• 1 Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth
take heed lest he fall.
• Hebrews 12:15-16 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace
of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and
thereby many be defiled; Lest there be any fornicator, or profane
person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
16. Security in Christ
• Those who base their security in the Lord Jesus Christ,
living faithfully to Him, following him and obeying
him are completely secure.
• Backsliders who believe the LORD will tolerate
rebellion and will wink at sin because they have been
saved under an unconditional covenant are sailing
under a false sense of security.
17. Sins Against Grace
• Let’s look at some of the sins that are listed
that are against the grace of God.
• These scriptures would be meaningless if
grace is absolutely secured regardless of our
beliefs or behaviour.
18. 1. Receive Grace in Vain
• 2 Corinthians 6:1 We then, as workers
together with him, beseech you also that ye
receive not the grace of God in vain.)
19. 2. Frustrate the Grace
• Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of
God: for if righteousness come by the law,
then Christ is dead in vain.
20. 3. Fail of the Grace
• Hebrews 12:15 Looking diligently lest any
man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of
bitterness springing up trouble you, and
thereby many be defiled;
21. 4. Fall from Grace
• Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect
unto you, whosoever of you are justified by
the law; ye are fallen from grace.

• Hebrews 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment,
suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who
hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and
hath counted the blood of the covenant,
wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing,

23. 6. Turn Grace Into Lust
• Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in
unawares, who were before of old ordained
to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning
the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and
denying the only Lord God, and our Lord
Jesus Christ.
24. These Scriptures Are the Record
• The scriptures above apply to the grace of
God
• Whether this is directed to false teachers; or
not, it applies to anyone saved or unsaved
who try to use God’s grace for a cover for sin.
25. Christians Are Not Prevented
• To constantly claim that a Christian cannot
commit these sins or to say God will not
allow a saved person to backslide so far as to
totally fall away is a stubborn refusal to
believe the simple and clear language of the
Word of God.
26. Why Be Concerned about Judgement?
• If the state of grace is permanent why be
concerned with:
• 1 Corinthians 11:31-32 For if we would judge
ourselves, we should not be judged. 32 But
when we are judged, we are chastened of the
Lord, that we should not be condemned with
the world.
27. Condemned with the World
• Just what do you think being “condemned with
the world” actually means?
• Paul uses the term “we” that is to say those who
have received the grace and the mercy of God

grossly misinterpreted simply because people
do not understand the context of the English
that is used.

• unrighteousness is a mystery
• The kingdom of God is a mystery
• The word of God does not contradict itself and if
it appears to do so it is because we don’t
understand the real meaning.
• Our perception of what its meaning is has
become flawed
30. The Record of the Scriptures
• The new covenant and the grace of God is
conditional.
• At any given moment we are either pleasing
or displeasing God
• The consequences of unrepentant sin always
remain the same.
To suggest that God forcibly brings a rebellious person’s life to an end before they can lose their state of salvation is really stretching the point.
Life was brought to an end in the old Testament as a punishment and not a measure of salvation.
This account of parents with a rebellious son is extreme but demonstrates the case.
Deuteronomy 21:18-21 If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: 19 Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; 20 And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. 21 And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.
