The Associate Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Services
reports to Dr. Draper, the Superintendent, and provides information to the school
board and staff. Her job duties include overseeing curriculum, professional
development, special programs, and implementing the districts improvement
plan, among many other job duties.
Executive Director Elementary Education
Dr. Marilyn Denison’s job in our district is to communicate information
between Dr. Ralph Draper, the Superintendent of Schools for Spring ISD, and
SMART STEM Program.
2. SMART STEM Program
Spring ISD's SMART STEM Program provides opportunities to ensure that
Texas keeps its competitive edge as a leader in scientific and technological
innovation. The center provides the focused teaching and learning opportunities
needed to raise the achievement level of students in the areas of math, science
and technology. The SMART STEM Program provides educators with tools,
ideas and support to provide the richest learning environment possible.
Principals
The principal of a school reports to the Associate Superintendent of
Curriculum and Instructional Services and the Superintendent of the school
district. Her job is to lead by example in integrating and carrying out technology
expectations daily with all school stakeholders. Hold all teachers accountable to
meet technology professional development expectations.
Technology Specialists
Mr. Garza’s responsibility is to provide faculty and staff with professional
development opportunities throughout the school year. His job is to assist and
educate teachers on the technology that staff should be using and how to
integrate it into the classroom.
Classroom Teachers
The classroom teachers’ responsibility is to fulfill the 3 hour minimum of
professional development per school year. He/she is to integrate technology into
the curriculum on a regular basis.
