Aaron Adams, 27, is experiencing nightmares and insomnia. He hires psychiatrist Giles Gray, 46, to help. Giles has a special ability to see into people's minds from his police work. Aaron was bullied in school by Gregory, Matthew, and Aiden. His ex-girlfriend Anne broke up with him due to his anger issues. Aaron's only support is his sister Lily, who left home after their father John, 39, blamed Aaron and Lily for their mother Karen's death in a home invasion. John remains angry and abusive towards Aaron. An entity called "the source" is causing Aaron's nightmares in an attempt to take over his mind for revenge against those who

Personality: Timid, weak, unconfident, unsure of self, shy, scared.
Medical Problems? – Insomnia, has developed within the last few weeks.
Relationship: Single, hasn’t been with anyone for a few years.
 Aaron has had a reasonably traumatic upbringing with domestic violence being a main reason for this. His
mother was killed in a break-in from a young age and his father has blamed him and his sister for not being able
to help their mother. Since then, Aaron’s sister, Lily, has always been a source of comfort to him, until she
moved away at the age of 19 when John threatened her life. Since that moment, Aaron has lived under the care
of social workers who have supported him to the best of their abilities, whether this is from physical harm at
school, or the psychological trauma that has been marked into Aaron’s brain by what went on at home. At the
age of 18, Aaron was finally able to move and live within his own house and has been there ever since.
 A recent outbreak of nightmares within the past few weeks has created a serious worry in Aaron about the
cause of them. These nightmares in the last few weeks have resulted in a minor case of insomnia, leaving
Aaron incredibly deluded about what he sees. His last option has been to hire professional help in the form of a
psychiatrist. Unbeknownst to Aaron is the way in which this psychiatrist operates however.

Personality: Assertive, determined, ruthless, concerned about job more than feelings.

Relationship: Married – Martha Gray, Two children, Paula Gray and Andrew Gray, stable.
 The life of Giles has been one of fame ever since his ability was discovered, making headlines of newspapers
during his time in the police force, being able to solve many a crime with as little information as a dropped plate
in the kitchen. This special ability Giles has was shown the most in interrogations, with the ability to literally look
around in a suspect’s mind regardless of whether they choose to talk or not. However, Giles soon felt that
putting away criminal after criminal was becoming less and less satisfying as time progressed, seeing the same
sick thoughts that a lot of criminals seemed to share was beginning to get to Giles, so a change in career was
his best idea, so at the age of 40, he retired from the police force, to the shock of many, after serving 15 years.
 As of starting his career as a psychiatrist, he has gained almost an equal level of commendation within his field
compared to the police force. However, he has felt a larger amount of satisfaction with the ability to help people
instead of put them into a cell. His biggest challenge has come in the form of Aaron who is experiencing a
series of incredibly vivid nightmares.

Personality: Dark, strong anger, hate towards everything, overconfident.
Medical Problems?: The alter ego of Aaron inside his head.
Relationship: An entity, they don’t have much interest in dating…
 The source of Aaron’s nightmares has been slowly created over years of hate and neglect from everyone the
real Aaron has ever known. This includes his family, and colleagues throughout school, and most recently, his
girlfriend. The most recent one has been what has tipped Aaron over the edge and has given birth to the
source.
 This entity living inside Aaron as an alter ego has been around for a few years, but only has begun to wreak
havoc within Aaron’s mind over the last few recent weeks. For the past few years, it has remained dormant
inside Aaron, but the hate created for Aaron every day has resulted in the source wanting to break out and take
revenge. The only way he would be able to achieve this would be to slowly break Aaron’s mind up to a point in
which he is so weak that he can take over himself.
 Simply put? The source wants revenge. On everyone and everything.

Name of character: Gregory Jackson
Age of character: 16
Family?: Mother, Father, Brother and Sister, Stable.
Personality: Egotistical, Picks on Aaron as a show of strength to others.
Medical Problems?: None.
 Gregory Jackson is the main leader of the group of bullies terrorising Aaron throughout his school life.
His main objective is shown to make Aaron’s life a living hell, mainly to show dominance to gain that
‘badass’ reputation within his friends so he’s known to them as ‘super-cool’.

Age of character: 16
Family?: Mother and Father, Divorced, only child. Stable.
Personality: Aggressive, violent, destructive.
Medical Problems?: ADHD
 Matthew Brook is by far the most rage filled teenager you will ever meet. Where most teenagers would
run upstairs and cry into their pillows in bed when they get angry or emotional, Matthew would run
upstairs and most likely push the bed. Out of the window. Onto the neighbour’s car. Matthew is
definitely not someone to be crossed.

Name of character: Aiden Phillips
Age of character: 16
Family?: Mother, Father died at an early age in car accident, brother.
Personality: Weak, lonely, tries to prove himself, follows the crowd.
Medical Problems?: None
 Aiden Phillips is, out of all the bullies, the only character to have even a sense of what morals are.
Unfortunately, his weakness makes him feel he is unable to help any sort of victim or at least have the
decency to be able to tell Gregory and Matt when to stop pummeling any sort of victim. He is merely
the onlooker out of this group.

10. The ex-girlfriend





Name of character: Anne Miles
Age of character: 23
Family?: Mother, Father, 3 Sisters, stable.
Personality: Loving, caring, usually happy.
Medical Problems?: None
 Anne was always an amazing girlfriend to Aaron, caring for only him and no one else ever. Aaron
couldn’t have asked for anyone better. The only thing in the way? While the source was dormant at
this stage in Aaron’s life, there were occasional moments in which it would break through. These
became more and more of a problem for Anne, with the hate the source had to offer being aimed at
her. This happened until eventually she gave up. It became too much for her and she had no choice
but to give up.

11. The Sister

Mother: Karen Adams – Deceased
Father: John Adams – Missing
Brother: Aaron Adams – Suffering nightmares.
Personality: Caring, comforting, helpful, role model, brave, courageous.
Medical Problems?: None.
Relationship: A boyfriend, been with for just over a year now.
 Lily Adams is the only piece of joy within Aaron’s life as of this current stage. Since Karen died, Lily
has been the only thing standing between John and Aaron. She has always been there to help Aaron
through thick and thin, whether it’s with problems at school, or problems at home, Lily has been that
shining beacon of hope within Aaron’s life.
 However, after many years of constant hatred and anger from John, Lily just couldn’t take it any more.
There’s only so much that a person can tolerate. At the age of 19, Lily packed her bags, and found
herself a new home, and promised to come back for Aaron as soon as she was able. Social workers
beat her to Aaron first however, and he was put in a care home until the age of 18.

Personality: Fuelled by rage, remorse, sadness, depression, pure anger, hate, venom.
Medical Problems?: None.
 John Adam’s story is a tragic one. Once a great man, full of happiness and joy. A wife and two
amazing children. He had a stable family, income and life. It all changed when a robbery happened. An
intruder burst in, the children ran for their lives, and only Karen tried to stop him. She paid for this with
her life, and John has blamed the children for running ever since.
 Not a day goes by where he hasn’t blamed them for what happened. There is a constant venom within
his eyes, a feeling of great loathing towards his own children that he now ‘takes care of’.
