Hace años que veníamos “persiguiendo” a Antonio Damasio. Como líder de la neurociencia, pocos investigadores merecen tanta atención. La neurociencia dominará grandes aspectos del management y de nuestras vidas en los próximos años. Por ello, estamos más que contentos de poder abordar este tema, y queremos complementarlo con Silvia Damiano, que nos habla de la importancia de los mecanismos de motivación, directamente ligados a la neurociencia, pero esto es solo un primer paso. Otro asunto que queremos tratar es el Congreso CEDE de Bilbao. Este número estará en la calle al tiempo que el Congreso abra sus puertas y ofreceremos un resumen de los puntos más importantes en la edición de noviembre. Pocas oportunidades hay para poder estar en contacto con los más importantes managers del país, con lo cual no podemos por menos que dar las gracias al máximo responsable de CEDE, Manuel Gago, y a su mano derecha, Carmen Morilla (sin olvidarnos de José María Jordá, quien ha sido el alma -hasta ahora- de los congresos CEDE).
Uno de los aspectos en los que coinciden casi todos los protagonistas de este número es el cambio y la velocidad del mundo. Por ello, hablaremos de cambios en el entorno Iberoamericano (con su secretario general, Enrique Iglesias), cambios en el entorno de la formación (con Sonia Fernández-Vidal y Juan Mateo) y cambios en nuestra forma de aprender idiomas (con Richard Vaughan).
Como verán, son cada vez más las apariciones de personajes que nos hacen reflexionar desde su experiencia. Manuel Rodríguez Casanueva es uno de ellos. Pocos tan queridos y apreciados circulan por nuestro país. Evidentemente, para ser querido hay que ser generoso, y su generosidad respecto de aquellos que echaron a perder un gran proyecto, Euroforum, es impresionante.
