Students will be taking notes on Chapter 5 of their geometry textbook. They are to read the chapter sections and complete any investigations or gold boxes. They should take notes on each section separately so additional class notes can be added. Students will make a chart comparing the properties of kites, trapezoids, isosceles trapezoids, parallelograms, rectangles, squares, and rhombi including their side lengths, angle measures, parallel parts, and diagonals. The class will have the option to learn the material through the teacher or by being assigned into groups to teach sections to each other.

1. Geometry Warm Up:
READ the BOARD......then you will take notes on ALL of
Chapter 5
Option 1:
Teacher teaches chapter 5 like usual-- quiz, test
Option 2: Students assigned groups (4 people), Each group
assigned a section, students TEACH section-assign hw,
worksheet, powerpoint, quiz questions, one period long and
then review HW next day. 3 class periods to work, QUIZ and
review 12-17, Review 12-21 (me), test 12-22
Lunchtime work will be avaliable

2. TODAY-
Notes on chapter 5 FOR ALL OF YOU!!!!!!!
You will want to know what to know topic in advance---
so you can ask good questions
pg. 256 to 300
READ investigations and record and complete gold boxes
MAKE sure that EACH section is separated so you can
take addtional notes in class.
MAKE a CHART of the following:
kite, trapezoid, iscocels trapezoid, parallelogram,
rectangle, square, rhombus and ALL of their propeties
including what you know about side lengths, angle
measures, parallel parts, diagonals, etc....
ALSO DIAGRAM EACH with appropriate markings
