► Any thing that we eat or drink for survival is FOOD.

► AIM;- To study about the parts of a plant.
► REQUIREMENTS;- Collect a plant from your
surrounding.
► OBSERVATION;- The plant posses different
parts like,-
1.root,
2 stem ,
3 leaf ,
4 branches,
5.fruits with seeds,
6. buds
7. flowers.
PARTS OF A PLANT
PLANT PARTS:- FUNCTIONS:-
1.Root Root absorbs water and minerals from soil and fixes the plant firmly
in the soil.
2. Stem Stem gives mechanical support to the plant and transport water and
minerals from roots to leaves.
3. Leaf Leaf prepare food by photosynthesis and perform transpiration
through it’s stomata.
4.Branch It exposes the leaves to sunlight.
5.Buds It develops into flower.
6. Flowers. Flowers are the reproductive organ of plant.
7.Fruits with seeds Fruits posses seeds in them which helps in propagation or increase
the number of plants.
INFERENCE:- Different organs of the plant posses different functions as
follows ;

► How to make moong bean sprouts
► Clean the green gram and wash in lot of water.
► Finally rinse off with slightly hot water. ...
► Soak in boiled and cooled water. ...
► Next soak for about 24 hours . ...
► Drain them to a colander.
► Transfer to a clean cotton or muslin cloth and make a tight
knot. And allow it to rest for another day. Observe the changes
Seeds and sprouts:-
► A huge variety of seeds can easily be grown to eat as sprouts including radish,
pea, chick pea, moong beans, alfalfa, fenugreek, sunflower, lentil, and broccoli.
Each has its own unique flavour. Add them to sandwiches, salads, soups and
stir fries or eat them on their own.
