                Software is a differentiator

              User Experience is important

What’s up with MS?
               ...and where’s Apple?
Lots of press around Microsoft “leaving the show”-
CEA and Microsoft have been very tight so what does
this mean?
Apple has never attended, but a large number of
iAccessory companies do
Complaints that CES is “too big”
MS appears to be using Apple’s playbook
Don’t create a “predictable” product launch
schedule by heavy involvement in trade shows...
Build an integrated UX on the entire product stack
(Metro UI on PC, Tablet, Phone, XBOX) 4
CES Facts
Most of the really cool stuff is shown in private suites
and not on the show floor
Some products are purchased based only on specs,
but seeing and touching are key for consumer devices
The conference takes place at LVCC, but key business
meetings occur all over the city
Even if a company isn’t on the show floor, their
representatives are in Las Vegas to make deals
CES will continue to grow as companies make
significant money on the deals they complete
                                                           5
