This document provides an introduction to Fandis Lab, an Italian startup founded in 2009 that specializes in metrology, mechanics, electronics, and other technical skills. It summarizes some of Fandis Lab's past projects, introduces the staff, and discusses the importance of challenging assumptions and thinking exponentially to drive innovation. Examples of past projects include developing an infrared pointing device for quadriplegic computer users in 1995 and a low-cost solution for high-precision mirror positioning in a Fabry-Perot interferometer from 2010-2011.
