It should be located among the areas

combined with hospital pharmacy in case of
single management.

Separate sterile & non sterile areas, Separate
entry & exit doors, Efficient ventilation, Good
lighting level, Easy material passage to work
stations & Separate Storage Area for sterile
supplies.

Its planning consist of determination of number, type &
size of work stations requires.
Space allocation:
It depends upon the size of hospital and that of the
sterile room.
The space should be enough for disassembling,
sterilizing, assembling equipment and for storage.
